  1. I stopped taking the celexa after 5 days. My doctor said the pills could be halved but I couldn't get through the nausea and melancholy. I felt so much better once I stopped taking them. My doctor is going to try me on something else, I'm not sure what yet.
  2. I noticed just now that ECPI only has colleges in NC, VA and SC. This must be why there is little response about it. Thanks again for your input and your encouragement!
  3. Thanks Carol. They have an LPN Program that I'm looking into and I was looking for some positive feedback. If I were to go to the local CC it'd take me an extra year or better taking prereqs. At ECPI I've already tested in and I can go in the evenings, still homeschool and graduate 14 months after starting. The only drawback is cost, it is expensive and even with financial aid it's going to cost me a pretty penny.
  4. No, no swelling just numbness. I've been adding a Chlorophyl Liquid (from Nature's Sunshine) to my tea and it's helping. I feel better today than I have since Tuesday, the first day I took the Celexa. Thanks for all of your responses. I'll keep everyone posted. I may try halving the pill for a while. I don't know. I've thought seriously about just weaning back off of it. I don't want to take anything and I just got a load of vitamins in. It'll be hard to know if the vitamins are working if I started the Celexa a few days before. (The numbness was there before the vitamins-the vitamins helped the numbness..above) (I'm not mixing the mood elavator with the Celexa-just a multi vitamin, Omega 3's, Vit C, ect...)
  5. My doctor put me on 20 mg of Celexa on Tuesday. I have been severely nauseated and my throat, tongue and esophagus feel numb like they've been squirted with Chloraseptic Spray. I spoke with her today and she told me to wait at least a week. I was wondering if anyone else has had experience with this?
  6. This is the best place I found information. There is even a feeding schedule of which veggies they can have. You do need to learn which veggies they can have and how much. Like they can only have 1 baby carrot a day because it builds too much sugar in their system and makes alot of salty substance in their urine. Read around, I was able to print a color schedule (follow the links at the top of the page and read around the forum. Excellent!) http://www.guineapigcages.com/index.htm
  7. Tiffani- can you elaborate on why you think you have to put things together with Notgrass? My oldest dd used it for highschool and I didn't get that from the program at all.
  8. I was looking at their courses online. I was thinking of starting Meadow-8 years old- 3rd grade in The Arrow and then putting Sky through several of the other courses probably the Intermediate? I would also like to do the grammar. It says its a family class and that family tuition is $149, so would both my 8 yo and my 14 yo take it together? Does anyone know?
  9. I agree that I would read those books on the side but not use LLATL 7th grade for the first year of highschool. (unless you are planning to get through more than one year in one year...we are doing this with Lightening Literature-going through 7th and 8th in one year by schooling year round before highschool.)
  10. Yes, I have one that is going into highschool next year too. I love My Father's World and I am planning to use it along with Apologia's Physical Science, Saxon Math 8/7 along with either the teaching cds or teaching dvds. (She is using Saxon Math 7/6 now. She is finishing Lightening Literature 7 now and getting ready to move into LL 8, I'm not real sure which direction I'm going after that. MFW uses Notgrass History which I love. I need to do a foreign language but I'm not sure I can afford it this year. I think it may be easier-even cheaper for me to just go with either BJU dvds or Abeka dvds, I'm just undecided. For Meadow my youngest dd she is going into 4th. I'm pretty sure we are going to move in MFW ECC, use TT Math 4, and few other odds and ends I have here.
  11. I've been coming here since the old boards.... actually changing formats to this board was hard on me. :D For me, this board is exactly as it always was, we often joked and had a few threads that were not necessarily off topic yet we had the freedom to discuss as we felt led. I like that freedom and I don't think anything has changed. It may look or feel a little different because instead of having on seriously long page of threads we have shorter pages now and that may make it seem like there are more off topic threads. I don't think it's a big deal. I like the way thing are and have been. I also don't think anyone should feel scared or uncomfortable posting here. This board is a great place-whether you post daily, monthly or just pop in every now and then! :grouphug:
  12. us too. A horrible virus is running ramped in the house, on top of my feeling bleck-for no viral reason, and some little discoveries of my middle dd not being on top of her work have pushed me under a crashing wave! UGH! Praying the storm passes by Monday.
  13. I'm not able to answer your questions but this is what I plan to use next year with my daughter. I am looking very forward to it. It looks full, and it uses Notgrass History (which I love-my oldest used this when she was in highschool), I plan to continue with Apologia Science, and we are using Saxon Math.
  14. I just wanted to say thank-you for mentioning that TT is coming out with level 3! It comes out next month and I cannot wait to get this for my daughter! Whew!
  15. Thanks for the great explanation Crystal!
  16. We are going to be using ECC next year also! Glad you made your decision. That is the hardest part for me!
  17. Another vote for My Father's World K, it is a gentle approach, fun and full of life and learning. It's a wonderful program, it truly is!
  18. We start back next week after a long Christmas break.
  19. I've used this twice, once with my oldest and then later with my middle dd. It is so much fun and they really do learn a lot. The writing portions of the program is really good. It's also very easy to find used. I have the whole set, in notebooks, page protectors along with the game that will be available in a week or so.
