  1. 9 years. The 2010-2011 school year will be my 10th. I posted a lot more on the old board format.
  2. You are very welcome! Glad it saved you some money! ;)
  3. I liked the idea of setting up framed pictures in an OB's office. New mom's are usually more willing to do pictures of their newborn babies.
  4. 305240ABZBZB for free shipping on orders over $35. Coupon states it can be used only once per customer. :)
  5. 305240ABZBZB for free shipping on orders over $35. Coupon states one use per customer. :)
  6. Oh that is a hard one. You'll have those who love HOD and those who love MFW! :)
  7. I ordered from MFW ECC Deluxe with the 7th/8th grade supplement (I want to read these myself), Ancient History and Literature and the Physical Science kit. The drawing Kit from The Gluck Method. I've been looking at this for over a year. I really hope it's as good as it looks. Apologia Zoology 2 and 3 (I have #1 out on loan) along with the journal notebooks for each one. Wordly Wise 3 and 8. Science kits from Home Science Tools for each science. I was able to find Saxon 8/7 with the Teacher cds used. In April I'll order Meadow TT 3 and I'll be finished for the a long time.
  8. I've ordered the dvd and materials. I'm hoping it helps dd. She loves to draw and has had no training. I liked what I saw on their website. Thanks
  9. What about their other vitamins? I'm looking at the whole foods multi vitamin plus, Vit D spray, Vit B 12 spray and then children's chewable multi vitamin and the krill oil for children. Are these highly recommended?
  10. Thanks Elizabeth. I have it on the shelf along with the Quigly cd rom. It's all brand new. I purchased it to use with my middle daughter and never did. Meadow will be in third next year and I was wondering if I should try to put it to good use and put it on the for sale board! LOL I'd love it if you could link me to your past post on how you used it!
  11. I've ordered their drawing program for my 14 yo and I was wondering if anyone here had any experience with it.
  12. What did you use for English in the 4th grade? Why? How did it work? Pros and cons? Pros and Cons for Shurley? Currently we are using Language Lessons for the Elementary Child by Sandi Queen. I also have PLL and ILL. We are reading the poetry from PLL. I like having the workbook. Thanks
  13. It does depend on your child and your needs. I used BJU for years and loved it. My oldest did the dvds through highschool. I can't afford them now. I use BJU until they reach 3rd/4th and then I switch them over to Teaching Textbooks because the instruction is provided for them and that makes life easier on me. We are using the Saxon Teacher cds. My middle dd went from TT 7 to Saxon 7/6 and is almost complete and will move into 8/7 in April. She prefers the Saxon Teacher cds. I know this isn't much help. Just what we've done. Some people love Saxon some people hate it.
  14. Thanks so much, I'm going to get those two books-The Magic Schoolbus and Flick a Switch.
  15. I ordered Bill Nye the science guy's dvd but it only explains how to be safe around electricity not where it comes from. Anyone have any ideas on where to start?
  16. I wanted so badly to be able to take this because I do need something and the price is unbeatable at $4 a month from Walmart. I tried it again and I just can't do it. I feel like my esophagus is closing and I'm so dreadfully sick when taking this. I had the dry heaves all night long. I called my doctor today and she is suppose to be calling me in something else. I'm in waiting now. Thanks for sharing with me ladies!
  17. Thank-you so much! I look forward to hearing what she has to offer!
  18. crap! yes I meant cloth. Sigh, no changing the title now. Thank-you for your offer. We go Tuesday to find out what she is having. I'll let you know if I'm interested then. :)
  19. My daughter is expecting late June and we were wondering about disposables. (edited to say-crap! I meant cloth!) I am looking at the Rump*a*rooz and they are $29.95 for 2 in the newborn size. I'm wondering what you use and how many for each size do you need. Obviously you'd have to have way more than just 2. ;) Initial cost seems really high to me even though it may save you in the long run.
  20. Oh my. I can't give a referral but I can tell you that I homeschooled my oldest daughter 6th-12th (and would have sooner had I known that I COULD do it) and she is just fine. She tested into Community College with flying colors, she took one semester through dual enrollment while still homeschooling and then went on to take her CNA (certified nursing assistant). She is married and expecting her first child in July. She is not taking classes this semester but plans to return in the fall. She is going for her RN. She is a beautiful, bright young woman. Homeschooling benefited her in every way. That statement could NOT be further from the truth. It's an opinion. A stereotype. True it is not. Hang in there. Find a referral and don't give up.
  21. It's so hard. I don't know what to do. Would you explain your symptoms more? I was so sick. What mg did you start out on? 10 or 20? Thanks so much.
  22. That is the branch I'm looking at. I looked at the pass rate on the state board exam for LPN class at ECPI in Roanoke and it's not as high as I'd like to see. Last year some quarters only had 50% pass rate. I also looked at the pass rate for the last 5 years and it looks like the program had a 100% pass rate in the beginning. I wonder why it's dropped so low now? This bothers me a little since the program is way expensive. I'm thinking 28K for 14 months? I'd be driving an hour and 15 minutes one way. I'd be investing a lot to take the chance of not passing the state board exam. If there is anything you or your daughter could advise me on with the LPN program there I'd really appreciate it.
