@ Calbear how much math do you spend daily. Ds8 begged me to do more math. I looked at you signature and saw many math options :) I like the idea that you do BA5 with AoPs.

@ Calbear are the MOEMS problems the same level as Kangaroo math? @ ondreeuh the math kangoeroe will be in April in Belgium. I heard that this was the last week to register at VHOV.

My Pals Are Here Science and Real Science 4 kids cover Physics. For engineering my DS does lots of construction play. If he is into Electronic Engineering you can try Arduino, Little bits, Snap Circuit, Raspberry Pi. For Robotic Engineering Mbot made by Makeblocks is also fun. There are also a lot of Engineering books for kids I suppose.

Which Arduino starter kit can you recommend me for a 8 year old who loves STEM. We are doing Little bits, although he loves it, is to easy for him.

Really could you tell me why strawbees didn't work out for you?

For electronics and programming Arduino is cheap. BBC microbit is also cheap (programming with great output) You can also learn them to program. Scratch and Python are for free. I have seen strawbees in a makerspace book I loved the many options.

I think Beast Academy will have a new online platform in the beginning of 2018.

Even being a muslim I find it very hard to answer your question . Because not every muslim is the same :-) . I just would have a open conversation with the teen girl in what her lifestyle is and what is approciate for her. I appriciate your mindset in being open to others religions and making it comfortabele for the girl.

My kids speak Arabic (classical Fosha) and Dutch . When they became 5 years old I added English . And this year we started with French ... I do believe a good Arabic background with reading , Grammer and lots of vocabulary is good start before starting to memorize Quran . But I have seen lots of Chinese and other non Arabic speaking kids memorizing Quran without any Arabic background . But for better understanding the Quran and Tafsir Arabic is a must .

Dear all , my little boy 6 years old loves BA which his older brother (ds8) is working on. His older brother is working on 3A at this moment. Ds6 had a huge performance anxiety and is a perfectionist and highly sensitive :-). I don't like to label him but this is his situation. We did a lot of growth mindset training last year and it did help him overcoming his fear of making mistakes . Now he loves BA especially the comics . He wants to do BA as well . With 2A just came out . I could give it a try but I am afraid he will have a melt down . I know he can handle BA academically but I am afraid that he can't handle it emotional. Are there parents at this board with the same "problem ". I would love him to get more challenged as well , because SM is just to easy for him .

Thats why we still use SM with BA . We both love BA but DS needs more review .
