I heard from her last night. She definitely hemorrhaged and should have had her iron checked after they gave her fluid at the hospital instead of just before the fluids. Her iron level now, after she is feeling a little better, is at transfusion level so she went in the hospital last night to have a transfusion. I hope she's better very soon. She said her OB is by her side and won't allow any other doctors near. He feels terrible that this happened and the hospital wouldn't call him.

I'm waiting to hear back from her. I hope everything is ok.

Where can I tell her to buy hemaplex or floradix from? She did tell me that once she is stabilized, her husband will be raising hell with the hospital. Right now they need to focus on her healing.

She said they took blood in the ER and everything was ok. Of course, with the treatment she received I wouldn't be surprised if they checked for something completely irrelevant.

She said the doctor was offended when her husband asked to see the OB on call and said he didn't want to wake him since he wasn't in the hospital. Her husband tried to explain that she had lost a ton of blood but the doctor just gave her fluids and tried to push pain meds. Her blood pressure was really low. Grrrr. I'm so angry for her!

I'll pass on your recommendation. she was in the hospital late Monday night so it hasn't been long but she sounds pitiful. I hope her OB takes her more seriously than the ER Doc did.

Bleeding is light now that she has passed all of her pregnancy. She has an appointment in a few hours.

She ended up in the hospital and received 3 bags of fluid. It was overnight and she didn't see an OB and thought that the dr on call didn't understand how much blood she lost. She has an appointment this afternoon and said she doesn't want to start iron until after they test her levels? She said she's trying to rest and drink fluids but feels her blood pressure is still dropping/heart rate racing every time she stands. Her appointment is in a few hours so I hope they send her for more fluid and maybe give her something to make her sleep. I know she's miserable.

Does anyone have tips I can pass on to my friend who just suffered through a terribly hard miscarriage and lost a lot of blood? She's still feeling terrible. Weak, dizzy, headache. I didn't have any of these symptoms or the excess blood loss with my miscarriages.

Introvert here with 10 kids. Luckily, my kids like to retreat and read a book or play with their Legos or just be alone. They value alone time as much as I do. We have a ton of property for them to run around on. We have a decent size 3 level home with plenty of places to hide. My kids know that after 9pm, I'm done. I go grocery shopping alone every week. I go to Mass alone every week. My husband knows I need some alone time away from the house and he's happy to make that happen. Some times wake up my oldest to tell him I'm leaving and before everyone wakes up I'll walk a mile on the path at our nearby park. Could I have a big family in a neighborhood or apartment? Probably not. I'm blessed to have a larger home with lots of private property for my kids to run around on and explore to allow me the alone time I need to regroup.

It would bother me a lot. I'm not sure if moving would help because you could end up moving 2 doors down from someone worse. I would never let down my guard. Teach the kids to never talk to or go near that man and to tell you when he approaches them or they see him. Sorry you have to deal with this.
