  1. I will pray for you and your family!:grouphug:
  2. Just wanted to say I have learned a lot from this discussion. I don't think this is a case of "us vs them" as in moms on this board vs another perspective on how to best meet the needs of our kids. I think all ideas should be welcomed here. We all have the best interests of our children at heart. Cindy, I look forward to reading your book and I hope you have felt welcome here and that you will stick around or pop in to share what you have learned over the years on how to reach our kids in another way. I for one really struggle with thinking outside the box with my two kids. I need all the help I can get as I am not ready, in spite of a LOT of outside pressures, to give up on my kids and turn them over to any school system. Thank you and all of the moms on this board for all you share here so willingly and unselfishly. :001_smile:
  3. Thanks so much for your input, llolly and Doodler. I did google art and various subjects and there are ideas out there. I am hoping this will help motivate her to move beyond her comfort zone. I really appreciate all of your ideas!:001_smile:
  4. I tried to post questions in another color but it didn't work. Hope they are more obvious now. Sorry for the confusion. Thanks to anyone who has read any of it.:001_unsure:
  5. Just found this blog post on how one mom handled dysgraphia with her child: http://www.homeschoolconvention.com/blog/dyscombobulation-galore-part-two-dysgraphia/
  6. Take a look at this book: Too Loud, Too Bright, Too Fast, Too Tight: What to Do If You Are Sensory Defensive in an Overstimulating World by Sharon Heller Good luck!
  7. If I had to go through that stage again, I would use AAR, mostly because I like AAS. Good luck!
  8. I know for my last two kids I ended up using a lactose free formula. Not sure if they still make it but it worked much better than soy or other formulas. I think it was around the same price. Poor baby!
  9. The light from screens can cause sleep disturbances. Try giving that up in the evening. You can google to find more information.
  10. So yes, there is a lost and found, in a way...your timing for this is perfect!
