  1. Praying right now. I am so sorry that you are going through this and for all that you have already been through. I will continue to pray for your family and your son. Blessings, Erin
  2. :grouphug::grouphug: Praying for health and wellness in your family. Blessings, Erin
  3. One of my children has episodes like this when he has a fever. He will wake up dillusional and not remember. He will have night terrors. This is all quite scary for the parent. This only happens when he has a fever though. He has never had Tamiflu so I don't know about that. Praying that everything is just fine. Blessings, Erin
  4. My son had, and still has a swollen lymph node in that exact spot on his left side. He has had it for 5 years now. When I first noticed it I was freaked out! I took him to the doctor and they ran blood tests. Then a few weeks later more blood tests, and then a few months later more blood tests. Definitely scary! But he is fine. Just a swollen lymph node. Still to this day. Not sure why, but the doc said that it happens. Especially if she is just getting over a few colds. I would take it easy and try not to worry, she will be fine. I know easier said than done. Just try to relax. And do not google!! I am so paranoid when it comes to these kinds of things and that only makes it worse. Praying for your daughter! :grouphug: Blessings, Erin
  5. Simply Charlotte Mason. They make curriculum that follows the Charlotte Mason method. If you have any other questions, let me know. ;) Blessings, Erin
  6. I have 6 ages 14, 12, 7, 5, 3, and 1. We use SCM for our History/Geography/Bible. We do that all together. We also use a lot of their suggestions. For my youngers I love FLL and WWE. We use SCM science and Apologia. Everyone except for my oldest does this together. My oldest uses Biology 101 (9th). The oldest 2 can do everything else on their own. It helps so much to do some of it together. I love the mornings when we are all in the living room together! After that, the oldest 2 are usually in their rooms doing their work. Hope some of this helps! Blessings, Erin
  7. Congratulations Hannah and Grandma! Wow, I see you are quite close to us. I have never seen anyone on here that close. Just had to say.:tongue_smilie: Erin
  8. Just said a prayer and will continue to do so.:grouphug: Erin
  9. We love Costco. We used to do all of our shopping at Costco when we lived in CA. When we moved to TX we couldn't afford to go as often. Well I happened to stumble on to, what I think, is the most awesome thing ever. When I went to this one yard sale they had all Costco and Sam's items (mostly Costco). I have been going there weekly for almost a year. They somehow buy Costco damaged/returned items in bulk. Say a case of papertowels or toiletpaper gets a small rip in the package, say the end of a case of canned goods gets ripped open, saay a package gets dented... You name it, they have it. Everything except for refrigerated and fresh produce/veggies. Every week they have different items. I spend $100 a week there and get about 400-500 worth of Costco food weekly. I have never in my life had a pantry as well stocked as it is now. It is amazing. I don't know where they get it, of course they won't say, but I believe it is some kind of auction type thing. Anyways, I would think that this might happen with all of the Costcos. This blessing has helped us out so much! Just wanted to share. Erin
  10. What a happy day for you!! Happy 3rd Anniversary!!!:001_smile:
  11. I am purchasing a new phone today and I believe it is down to these two. I have never had a smart phone so I have no idea which one to get. Anyone think that one is better than the other?
  12. I can tell you that my husband had it before and it was extremely painful for him, we even called 911 at one point because he was in so much pain. We found out it was pleurisy at the hospital. I can tell you that I have one-sided pain that my doctor says is just like pleurisy. (I had multiple blood clots last year in my left lung). I experience pain often. It feels like your shoulder blade, chest, ribs are all hurting. Maybe at the same time or at different times. The pain is hard to pin point. It hurts to take a deep breath. I believe it is when your chest wall or lining is inflamed. I just know that it is painful. Hopefully someone on here will have more information. Erin
  13. I have the same problem. Not quite as bad, but the problem is still there. Mine started after I had my 5th child and I was weaning her from breastfeeding. Mine seems to stem around my periods, so I believe mine is from hormones. I had horrible health problems after my 6th and can I say I feel PARANOID. I always feel like there is something wrong with me. Every little twinge gets me anxious. I worry about everything. I too take no meds. It gets pretty hard. I feel like I am always concentrating on some kind of worry, believe me there is always one, and if there isn't, I find one. I hate feeling like this, especially when I know I am really fine. Just wanted you to know that you are definitely not alone. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.:grouphug: Erin
  14. So we have been here for a few months now and I am just bored!! NO friends!! None for me. None for the kids. Is there anybody, ANYBODY, that happens to live south of Dallas. We are near Red Oak. Please say there is, oh please!! Erin
  15. They are mastiff pups. She has laid on her side a few times. I have helped some of the smaller pups latch on. The larger pups seem to be much more persistent at getting to the nipple. We have tried to get her to leave the room and use the restroom outside, but she refuses. She has peed on the bathroom floor. She has never peed inside before, not sure what to make of that? One other thing I didn't realize was how messy it would be. She has somehow managed to splatter blood ALL OVER the walls. I have been washing the blankets and putting down clean ones when they get dirty. She is leaking a lot of fluid and blood. I will say that they all seem to be doing well though.
  16. Thanks so much! I am worried about not all the pups being able to eat. She does not want to lay on her side, so only a few are able to nurse at a time. There are 3 pups that are awful small, but seem to be thriving. I did put a small heater in the bathroom to keep it warm. I also moved her food and water in there to her, in large bowls so no little puppies could fall in and drown. Puppy food is what I am feeding her. Would a kitchen scale work for weighing them, not sure as I don't have one, but I can get one. I just want to give these pups a great start. Not to mention a healthy mom.
  17. Our dog just had puppies this morning. 10 of them. Well 11, but 1 didn't make it. They are all doing great. A few are much smaller, but they are squirming around and latching on to her. I am just wondering if there is anything special that I should be doing. I have read quite a bit online. We bought her almost 2 months ago without knowing she was pregnant. We do know that this is her second litter of puppies. Thanks for any friendly advice that you can offer! ;) Erin
  18. I think she did better than good, I think she did awesome! There is no way my 9th grade son could or would write like that. May I ask what writing program you are using?? Great job to you to mom!! Erin
