  1. My very first pregnancy ended in miscarriage at about 10 weeks. I was terrified that I was not going to have any children. We didn't wait long to try again and got pregnant within in two months. I bled at the beginning of tr pregnancy and was positive it was another miscarriage, thankfully my doctor checked my blood levels and everything was good. I had 3 healthy babies since then and yes, I was paranoid with each until the first trimester was over. After the "big" ultrasound knowing that everything was developing as it should I was able to enjoy the pregnancies.
  2. If you can go to all the Disney parks, don't skip any of them! My kids loved Hollywood studios, they have Rockin Roller coaster, tower of terror and our favorite ride: Toy Story, it is so much fun! They also have great shows and Fantastmic show at night. Again, I would recommend all of the parks!
  3. It's okay to be bored :). She can look out the window and enjoy the scenery. I am mean mom and don't allow TVs in the car, so they have to entertain themselves with their thoughts sometimes. Take snacks, maybe one of those brain quest card thingys, where you read trivia questions and the kids answer, get an audio book everyone can listen to.
  4. It is over, she is great and never complained and opened really wide. The endodonist said she was one of the best patients.
  5. I am one who suffers with motion sickness. My poor parents always had me throwing up on every trip growing up. I am use to my husband's driving, so I don't get sick often. (I don't read in the car) But boy I sure feel if I get into a car when someone else is driving or buses or airplanes or trains or boats or rides. I take Meclazene ( not spelled right) and do fine in those situations (mostly). I am afraid there is no magic thing for everyone, you just kind of have to deal.
  6. Thanks, no, I am keeping the fear bottled up and away from my kids as best I can. My husband will be the one in the room with her. We are spending the morning doing fun stuff before the procedure. My daughter is not scared at all, she is excited to get laughing gas. I am mainly terrified about the future health.
  7. My husband feels it is best that my young child have the root canal today. I am devestated and scared to death about what this will do to her health. I have heard so many horror stories. Please someone tell me that it will be okay.
  8. Looks like dd will have a root canal. I am so broken up about it. I pray that they can do it in one swoop and it doesn't affect her health in the future.
  9. Squirrelly, I am sorry you dealing with this. Do you know what you are going to do?
  10. We are going to the Endo shortly and I feel like I am going to throw up, I can't take the anxiety over this. I have been praying non-stop and have been trying everything natural under the sun to help her. ughhh..
  11. Thank you again for all the responses. My main worrry is the health issues that could be caused from a root canal or it not working and needing it pulled anyways. I just don't know what to do. We are meeting with an Endo on Monday.
  12. Thanks for the responses. I feel like the crappiest mother. We will see how it goes tomorrow.
  13. Thanks everyone for the responses. Itsheresomwhere, where those permanent or baby molars?
  14. I am devasted.... I took my daughter to the dentist today for an obvious cavity. I knew it was there. I was trying to heal it naturally and thought it was a baby tooth, but it is a 6 year molar and I guess those are permanant (Yes, I am an idiot).. Ughh.. We have an appt tomorrow at a pediatiric dentist to see their opinion, but our dentist said he believes it is either root canal or extraction. I DO NOT want her to have a root canal. I would rather have it pulled. Again, I am devasted and just need some advice from someone or hear from someone who has been in this situation..
  15. Ask your husband to go get you some elderberry syrup. It is safe for nursing and with definitely help. Also, ear lots of raw garlic. Don't worry about affecting the milk, I recently read an article that babies drink longer and better when the mom eats raw garlic. Also if you are throwing up, organic coconut oil is good for that. Just eat it by the spoonful, it is safe for nursing as well. Hang in there and rest as much as possible!
