Has anyone placed an online order for the educator discount this week? I'm having a rough time getting the discount to work. I'm wondering if only specific books qualify (though the site says educator personal purchases qualify). It seems they've changed their customer service.....after 3 attempts to get an answer I gave up. :glare:

How did the uninvited person know about the party? Why did they feel it was ok to show up? I'm perplexed by this and just curious. Three uninvited children came to the party? How does that happen. I never expect to be fed at a child's b-day party.

We've been enjoying the combo of Easy Grammar and FLL. We do FLL orally and using the whiteboard. EG is done 4 days a week, while we do FLL 2 or 3.

We use Easy Grammar and do FLL orally/white board. It's been a good mix so far.

We have been looking into Mandarin lessons for our dc. After speaking with a homeschool mom who tutor's Mandarin, we have decided to purchase Rosetta Stone. That was her recommendation. HTH.

Only have a second, but wanted to share that I'm using SWS with my boys. We are on week 6 and things are going well. We had tried a few other spelling programs. SWS was the first that we all have been happy with. I'm using Easy Grammar instead of GWG.

I may have missed it, but were the ages of the OP's children ever mentioned? I got the impression that her dc were little.

What would be the oldest age for Writing With Ease 4? I've realized that the number behind WWE does not always have to match the "grade" your dc are in (I'm not big in to grades, but using this for a reference). So, for example WWE 4 does not have to mean it's for grade 4, correct?

My husband was scheduled to fly that day, so I remember it fairly well. I was sitting in the car dealership waiting for my oil change....the news was on and everyone gasped. I remember trying to reach my husband (who was at an airport in either Chicago or Michigan-can't remember). At the same time, my cell started ringing with news that an old friend worked in one of the towers. My husband's plane was grounded so he ended up renting a car and driving home from Chicago to Minneapolis. Later that day, I learned that my friend from junior high had died(he was on one of higher floors-Canter Fitzgerald). His sister in law and brother in law also died. Another thing I remember....my husband and I had been in NYC the week before(for a getaway). We flew out of NYC on the day that the terrorists were supposedly doing a "test run" at the airport.

We tried SWO, but it wasn't the right fit for us. We have been using SWS this year and so far so good. I have had no complaints from my dc. Wish I could say more, but I'm ready for bed. In a nutshell, we give it a thumbs up in our home.

Bumping. I'm also wondering if we could skip FLL 4 and go right to Advanced Language lessons (we are currently doing FLL3)?

I'm going to go in a different direction. I picture it with knee high black boots . I LOVE boots with dresses. Target has some cute ones, too.
