There are also problems when using Kindle for Android - It hasn’t been optimized for Nook Color. It’s just a strange experience – Kindle for Android is a bit awkward, perhaps due to the way apps work on rooted Nook Colors. There’s a security issue. Who knows what information the rooted Nook is sending to whom? What about legal issues - Aren’t users agreeing to some contract when they buy a Nook Color? Perhaps the contract includes something about not hacking your Nook Color, or something about not using the Kindle Store. Android is just a different world. Users who are used to protected ecosystems, like the ones Apple and Amazon and B&N have, will struggle mightily. I just saw this today on this website if that helps.

Exact same thing happened to me but I've had zero problems because of it. Somehow my mom got me a social security card with my step dad's last name and it's the only name I've ever used. It was not done legally though. Sorry it's causing trouble.....luckily it hasn't caused me any. I do worry about getting a passport but that hasn't come up yet.

Yeah I figured. I know some on this board prefer certain translations so I was just wondering about that before blindly going with what Omni prefers. I don't know about you but the library didn't work great for us because for some books it took us forever to actually finish, so I usually had to return them and I work for my library.

We are just starting with III and when I bought Omnibus I, I ordered all of the books from Veritas so I had all the editions they preferred. This time I have way less money, doesn't everyone..... and also would like to get a few on my new Kindle (which was a gift). Any editions you have found you like better than the ones Veritas picks?? I am hoping to have a few more choices in looking around for used versions. Any particular Kindle versions you like best. There are just so many different versions of these books it's hard to figure it out. What stumped me was their Pilgrim's Progress choice.....I can't figure out which one to buy through Amazon. Thanks so much.....we love Omnibus so I am excited I just think buying the books as we go will be better on my budget.

I can't do crocs for some reason. They make my back and knees hurt worse. I had a pair that I used for a year until I realized they were actually making things worse. My foot is about a 9 and not especially wide it's just that my toe will not completely heal and just ends up squished in shoes. I think I need more arch support. I read something about people who wear Uggs and your arches flattening out or damage to your feet somehow. Something about the warmth of your foot and no support. I wore mine for years and years so now it seems like I need more arch support.

I'm on a roll here with asking questions since I hardly ever post. This board is the absolutely best place to get recommendations and I cannot figure out the best direction to go with shoes. One of the problems is I broke my pinky toe and although it has healed it's still hurts if I try to put on tennis shoes so I was trying to find something better. Although I suppose if I just buy some new tennis shoes that have a wider toe box I may be ok. Right now I am basically in flip flops and that is murder on my bad knees and sciatic problems. I also hate shoe shopping so I'm trying to make it as easy on myself as possible.

We have lots of wifi spots around here so I'm thinking I may not need it, but it would be fun to have!! I just wish all these techy things were cheaper in general so I could have them all!!

I knew what the purpose of each test was I guess I was just wondering if it's an advantage to his future even if he was only going to move on to community college at first. I had the feeling that it would look good as a homeschooled student to people in my family, like it would prove how well his has done. That's what was in my head anyway. So I suppose it's just not worth the trouble??

My son will most likely move on to Community College after high school but I am really confused on what to do with all these tests. The AP ones say they send scores to colleges but what if we don't have one we want them sent to. I am feeling a little lost with all this high school stuff but I want him as prepared as we can be. He is currently in 10th and I figure I better get some guidance. I guess I just need some kind of general explanation of what to take and why to take them? Thanks!!

Mine was stolen once. They don't do anything but issue you another one. Your number doesn't get changed even if. I ordered mine by mail.

I have had terrible eczema my whole life and horrible problems with my scalp for just as long. I had to start taking iron last year for severe anemia and my scalp cleared up completely. Only time my scalp has ever felt normal. Have no idea why that would help, but maybe try eating more iron rich foods?
