  2. I wouldn't let the new people move in until after you have had the move out inspection noting any damage s/he plans to deduct for. You have the right to be present during this walk through. See section 33-1321C in http://www.azsos.gov/public_services/Publications/Residential_Landlord_Tenant_Act/#1323 Also, be sure to put your demand for the return of your security deposit in writing. Apparently Arizona law requires that you demand the return of your security deposit. This site give advice on how to get you deposit back: http://www.arizonatenants.com/library_secure.htm good luck
  3. I'd check the stems. Wikipedia has a good explination of the squash vine borer. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Squash_vine_borer
  4. My daughter (10) has been swimming year round for two years now. Maybe your son would like it more if he knew that he would be recognized even if he doesn't win. Two things my daughter loves for motivation are the "personal best" ribbons the summer teams gives out, and the dollar store party prizes/oriental trading co. trinkets the winter swim coaches gave to kids who attended a certain percentage of practices. They enjoy the recognition for all their hard work. Some weeks i was just an air head candy, but the kids love it.
  5. I don't know what's worse. The fact that this has happened, or the fact that we have a name for it. "Broken Arrow" (they lost a nuclear weapon).
  6. If you are going to try Benadryl make sure you test it out before you get on the plane. A friend of mine found out on the plane that Benadryl makes her child hyper!
  7. Newer crock pots get hotter then the older models. This is done to get the food through the "danger zone" faster. The people at amazon who said the pot gets too hot may just be seeing this "improvement."
  8. We liked the first two. We did not like the third one. I think they ran out of steam.
  9. How about cork squares? I know I've seen 1 foot square pieces. You could mount them on the wall in the size of the frame and then put the frame around them.
  10. I like it too! Do you think Peace Hill Press could/would start printing the Educational Anarchist T-shirts?
  11. Is there a county fair in your area? Lots of 4H clubs show up at our fair every year, maybe you could find a group there.
  12. Misery - the scene where Kathy Bates hits Paul Newman's ankles. Still makes my skin crawl.
  13. Here is a link to the IRS web page that will tell you when you check/direct deposit will arrive, and how much it will be. https://sa2.www4.irs.gov/irfof/IRServlet?app=IRACTC
  14. The Phantom Tollbooth by Norton Juster. The kids will all enjoy the wordplay. It is wonderful. I'm still mad that I missed the book as a child.
  15. A bunch of us were at a homeschool event watching a younger member chase her three (soon to be 4 kids) when we released that we were old enough to be her mom. It wasn't so much the thought of being her mom that made me feel old, but that of being a grandmother to three - yikes!
  16. http://www.edexcellence.net/institute/publication/publication.cfm?id=338 They give each state a report card only California, Indiana, ans Massachusetts got A's. This site seems give a lot of information on math standards: http://www.wgquirk.com/#who Linda
  17. Ouch. I don't know how high your fines are, but our local library caps the fines at $25 for a group of items returned at one time. You might want to call/check the library website and see if your library has a similar rule.
