  1. I got some at Costco actually. It's keta though, which I didn't realize until after I ate it.
  2. See, I can totally believe this story because I can picture exactly who this is. Actually, I can picture several people I know who could have this situation happen. It is truly an entitled world of people out there.
  3. I feel frontier is more family friendly, and encourages girls to do more. They offer badges of all sorts, from fashion to hunting. I feel Girl Scouts is a little more focused on cookie sales and on the girls being...girly. Frontier has a big focus on patriotism, which I'm not too into.
  4. I'm disappointed bill nye is debating with man who has no interest in debate. The purpose of a discussion such as this, should be to make the other side aware of logical fallacies, incorrect data, and an alternative view of the topic. There should be an opportunity to change someone's mind. That doesn't exist in this scenario. Neither Nye nor Ham are even taking about the same subject. Neither will walk away with any sort of enlightenment at all.
  5. My dd 6 is a new skater. Ice skating really clicks with her, but she is not a figure skater yet. She'll move into the higher level class by spring I imagine. I'll be stalking this thread!
  6. I remember other posts of your son. Prayers to you all. Hugs.
  7. RoundAbout said it really well. When you adopt a healthier lifestyle, food isn't an issue. Temptation doesn't really exist, junk food cravings are few and far between. I used to have issues with anorexia and binge eating. I changed my habits in my early 20s and stopped even using the word diet. I just eat good food.
  8. I overall live a very health dietary life. In my own home we don't buy artificial flavors, Hfcs, preservatives, etc. we buy mostly organic. It's not something we really think about, we've done it for so long, we just do it. Because of that, I never feel guilty about what I eat. If I want half a bag of Joe Joes, then I do. Or a Srarbucks Frap with 1000 calories, I can.
  9. Not really. DH and I are pretty silly and don't take ourselves seriously...so neither of us can keep a conversation like that going. I AM in my 20s, and it still just isn't me.
  10. Dd is dresses/skirts only, so her winter wardrobe looks like this: 7 long sleeve dresses, 3 pair tights, 4 pair leggings, 4 pjs, 4 t-shirts, 2 sweaters, one pair of tennis shoes, 1 dressy shoe, 1 pair snow boots. DS- 4 pair nice pants, 2 pair play pants, 4 collared shirts, 4 long sleeve t, 2 sweaters, 1 pair tennis shoes, 1 dressy pair. I stock up when stuff goes on clearance, so by the time the stuff wears out they are ready for the next size. I generally try to keep their wardrobe as little as possible so stuff actually gets worn!
  11. It could also be intermittent vomiting syndrome. Which, I kid you not, is a real thing. Apparently it's quite common for kids to vomit randomly for days or weeks and then just stop. My daughter did it occasionally and it was bizarre.

    ..

I could not handle that. I literally cannot control my free will in those situations!
  13. We had another solely because we thought we should...for DDs sake. Anyway, we had him and I cannot imagine it any other way now. I think babies out of obligation are probably not the best way to go...but for us it worked out magically. Good luck with your decision!
  14. No, maybe a coffee shop. But it's a very nice area with great architecture.
  15. We are going to a breakfast place that's open today. I also have to work for an hour today. Then we are just having a normal day. We might go walk around the outdoor mall because no one will be out.
  16. I've developed several hobbies and interests over the last few years. It really had made a difference in my quality of life. Politics Volunteering Banjo playing (I'm quite bad) Online classes- iTunes U and Coursera, Khan Academy Crosswords If you lived alone and were in your early 20s, what would you do? That's how I started playing banjo. I thought it was fun and quirky.
  17. Or a fire? Or intruder...animal or human. Does a 10 year old know what to do in that situation? Many adults don't.
  18. No way would I move a kid into another building. What if he got hurt? No one would hear him scream.
  19. That sounds so scary! Please rest today! I imagine it's because you woke up too quickly. But I really don't know for sure.
  20. Mine is similar to that. Shes sweet and pretty genuine. Hope their family has a lovely holiday.
