  1. No problem lol. Didn't mean to create a life altering, bare-foot causing post, but there you are.
  2. I don't. I prefer them in black. I believe the red makes you think that somehow His words are more important than the rest of the Bible.
  3. I have the personal size ESV Study Bible, and it's a great size. Has the words of Christ in black. (which I prefer) http://www.christianbook.com/Christian/Books/product/1246142201?item_no=524707&event=AAI#curr
  4. My kids LOVED pickles at that age. And lemons. They just suck on them.
  5. The other day it took me 45 minutes to drive just over a mile.
  6. I was working the counter at Chick-Fil-A and these two girls asked me (purportedly for a college sociology class) if, as a male, I preferred "T" or "A" for women (except, they used the actual words). Also, about three people in line behind them were some people I recognized from church. And an employee of mine, a teen female, happened to walk up to ask me a question at the time. AWKWARD.
  7. I too have knee pain when I run. The only thing I have found that makes it totally go away is ... not running. lol. In seriousness, it is actually generally better to have your feet land almost under you. Try shortening your stride. http://www.runnersworld.com/article/0,7120,s6-238-267-268-8210-0,00.html I got the Evolution Running DVD, and in one week cut 2 minutes off my 1.5 mile time with MUCH less knee pain. http://www.amazon.com/Evolution-Running-Faster-Fewer-Injuries/dp/B000A7GEGW
  8. Very interesting... several people I have talked to here (Hawaii) said they loved driving in Colorado Springs, that they recently redid a bunch of roads and it is so great to drive there...lol
  9. I could take it or leave it. I enjoy the ocean when I am near one, but don't miss it when I am not. I lived 10 years in Amarillo Texas before I joined the military, and it was about 10-12 hours drive to the coast, and it didn't bother me at all.
  10. So, it appears the majority of people here are synergistic as opposed to monergistic, right? Interesting.
  11. I am Christian and military. :) We live in a larger city now (I think the population is 1 million?) And it's too crowded. Where we used to live was almost 200,000, and it felt a bit too small. I believe the census put Colorado Springs just over 400k, which SOUNDS ideal, lol.
  12. I would LOVE to hear everyone's thoughts on Colorado Springs, good and bad. We are STRONGLY considering settling down there at some point, but I want to get more opinions first. :)
  13. I have a Blackberry Tour, but tomorrow I am getting the HTC Droid Incredible 2. My wife has the Motorola Droid X.
  14. No, probably not. Depends how it looks on her, but on that model it is too short, IMO.
  15. I am on Verizon, and I have a smartphone. I will be getting another one tomorrow and extending our contract. I love having it, mainly for the internet. I can comparison shop online while I am at a store, read reviews of products, etc. It also is a great way to kill some time if you are somewhere for a long time (like the doctor's office or something) waiting. You can read books on smartphones, use it as a media player, use it as a navigation system.

  17. Historically, the "I was just following orders" defense doesn't fly. No pun intended.
  18. I guess the best thing is to make sure it is common knowledge for my children.
  19. I was wondering if the Armenian genocide is considered to be common knowledge? I know it wasn't known to me until an Armenian acquaintance told me about it when I was a teenager.
  20. I am 26 and would say it is common knowledge among my peers and those younger. As it should be. But then, I watched Schindler's List at school in 6th grade.
