  1. You said chooks! :smilielol5: Okay. Digression over...
  2. And yet from my perspective, devout Christians practice magic more than I do! You can all come to my house if you want, but you'll have to take turns. My house is too small to fit more than three visitors, and none of them can be your husband because the only place to sit is on my bed and that'd be too weird.
  3. I won't be far away for the next few hours, but sleeping will help you cope longer than chat will. :grouphug:
  4. 7.30pm Australian Eastern Summer time. What's up with your daughter? (Sorry if you've said on another thread and I didn't see.)
  5. There is a frog in my veggie garden. :)

I made a large frog pond/ suculant garden outside my bedroom window last month. A Red Belly Black Snake has shifted in and calls it home. I personly like it there but dh doesn't.

Better a Red Belly Black than many of the alternatives.

      Exactly what I told dh.

  6. I had some felted blue wrens made for my mother, which I think will delight her. There is no space in dd's life for anything other than dreams, so I'm buying some shares for her. Any ideas on witty hoodies for my brother? It's the time of year here for craft markets; mostly women trying to sell trinkets so they can afford to buy different trinkets for their own families. Maybe your local artisans have the perfect something or other, and you can give that along with the story of supporting small businesswomen. :)
  7. Stir it up and it's fine. I have half a jar of a capsicum based pasta sauce sitting on my bench. Vinegar is the only preservative in it, and it still hasn't gone mouldy yet. It's been there about three months now. Somehow I don't feel like eating it though because I feel very sure it *should* be mouldy.
  8. It would be pretty strange for a Tarot reader to read for someone else's kids, even *with* parental permission. Also, cleansing rituals have nothing to do with reading Tarot unless you want them to, like your interesting associate does. She probably doesn't think it is in any way like you teaching the unsuspecting a hymn. Tarot cards and cleansing rituals are not inherently religious to the person doing them. If it comes up again, though, go ahead and be awkward. I always leave the room when people do breathing exercises and hide behind a tree during Indigenous smoking ceremonies. I've given Tarot readings that said "I think it's about time you went back to church," and you all know how un-churchy I am.
  9. Not all Christians are against card reading. There is a lot of Christian symbology in many decks, and Christian/Muslim/Jewish readers believe messages via the cards come from God.
  10. Does anyone ever get upset with you? You're a sweetie.
  11. You can also get away with making false reports to the police. Also, it is very difficult to defend yourself in court against anyone who has access to confidential documents you don't have.
  12. If you do that, those who make true accusations but who are deemed to be lying end up punished, and no one would ever report.
  13. I use Tarot cards as thinking tools, but most religious people won't accept that no matter what I say because they have previously held beliefs. Tell people you're a life coach, if they ask, and they shouldn't want to hear any more about it.
  14. There are some societies where the child belongs to the social, not biological, father. I'm not sure that isn't a better system in many ways.
  15. Do you know how tempting it is to delete the bolded out of your post? :Angel_anim:
  16. I don't think the OP has any obligation to condone abuse done to her and sweep it under the carpet.
  17. No. You are not the bad guy. Your brother type person is the bad guy and so are his flying monkeys.
  18. Me too, but even that seems to be a flexible concept.
  19. People can call CPS for anything and nothing. You might think the anythings get investigated and the nothings don't, but you'd lose money betting on it.
  20. I don't know about other workbooks, but how about jigsaw puzzles?
  21. Never underestimate human geekiness. Someone, somewhere, will do it to see if they can!
