  1. I met a garlic jam at the market that is enough to knock your socks off. Not to be used in Devonshire teas in this universe...
  2. I had a friend who used to teach at a private school in a medium sized regional town. They were obliged to switch to the state curriculum for the sake of funding, and the education provided went downhill. :glare: The parent body couldn't afford to pay enough to avoid it.
  3. Quince Marmalade And I had a lovely peach and passionfruit jam recently. Prickly pear jam is nice, but more fun if you call it cactus jam. I don't know what thimbleberry jam is, but I want some.
  4. This has completely weirded me out. No way is Harry only six months younger than me. I have to readjust my world now.
  5. I've been wearing ankle length dresses over jeans lately, and getting compliments, so yeah, I think all of your links look just fine.
  6. There are options... https://shop.oxfam.org.au/outback-pride-jam-set-of-4 https://www.bushtuckershop.com/products/desert-quandong-jam?variant=1105597853 Just in case you need enabling! :Angel_anim:
  7. Too right! As long as someone else is cooking! I want to go back to South Australia to try magpie goose. And it is worth driving all the way to Broken Hill for quandong tart. :drool5:
  8. I am fascinated that you people worry about balanced nutrition on holidays.
  9. I think it means crying where that person can't see until you learn not to care about them, whilst administering the TLC they like so they don't bother to watch you properly.
  10. I like our nutritional labels because they list how much sugar per hundred grams so you can see the percentage. Some of those yogurt style things have more sugar than ice cream!
  11. That happens with diastasis recti. Can you feel a split in your abdominal muscles below your belly button? Sorry I can't come and poke your tummy to find out for sure.
  12. I don't know if that's your trouble, but it was mine and I followed the exercise guide at the top of this page (the $37 one) https://nataliehodson.com/ebook-store/https://nataliehodson.com/ebook-store/ (I don't recommend purchasing any of the other stuff they prompt you to buy. Unless it has changed, you get them for free anyway.) I noticed a lessening in severity in a fortnight.
  13. Under the circumstances, I'm not sure why full time work isn't something to be grateful for.
  14. I think your wife's first pregnancy is the wrong time to have a midlife crisis and go gallivanting across the globe.
  15. Is there a volunteer crew you could join? We have the State Emergency Services that respond to storm damage and will help out the fire brigade during emergencies.
  16. Yeah. That's why I don't talk to pretty near all my relatives.
  17. So it is work in agriculture, the school, medical centre, grocery shop or pub, or move away? How does such a town avoid dying out as the kids move away? Or do you retain enough children to maintain the population and services?
  18. Abandoned teenagers ranks pretty high on my list of things worth sobbing about. Strange book though, I feel like I was led just to the edge of how the neo-cons acquire space, but then the record skipped, leaving me feeling like the key was left out. (Thinking about my own national context more than yours.)
  19. Thanks for the book recs. The Janesville story was a bit of a tear jerker. :crying:
  20. Is that the reason for the disordered eating? Stress makes the body think it has more important things to worry about than ordinary things like eating. Could be that getting the anxiety under control will fix the eating issues. :grouphug:
  21. A reminder and a concrete date wouldn't go astray.
