  1. My 10yr old niece LOVES to play Bananagrams so I bought Pairs In Pears for her this year. You can get them both at Target or Amazon.
  2. Nance, you are so welcome:) I made mine the previous day of the exchange, kept them refrigerated over night, and they turned out wonderful.
  3. When my ds was younger, 4yrs or so, he would tell me that he was going outside to do his "dirtwork". It was his favorite thing to do and he did it every day:-)
  4. I made these today for a cookie exchange and they turned out great and taste amazing! Cheesecake Filled Thumbprints (adapted from Martha Stewart) Filling: 4 ounces cream cheese, softened 1/4 cup sugar 1/8 teaspoon salt 1 egg yolk 1 1/2 tsp. sour cream 1/4 teaspoon vanilla Cookies: 1 cup butter, softened 1/4 cup sugar 1 egg yolk 1/4 teaspoon salt 2 cups flour Make filling first. Beat together cream cheese, sugar and salt until fluffy and smooth. Stir in egg yolk, sour cream and vanilla. Place in refrigerator for 30 minutes. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Line 2 baking sheets with parchment. Beat together butter, sugar, egg yolk and salt. Stir in flour (do not over beat) and mix until dough forms. Form dough into 24 balls and set on cookie sheets. Wet finger (or use handle of a spoon) and make a deep indentation – do now worry about how wide it is yet. Cookies will spread anyway. Bake for 10 minutes. Remove from oven and press in middles to re-make indentations. Turn cookies sheets and bake cookies another 7 minutes or until edges start to brown a bit. Remove from oven and fill indentations with cream cheese filling, using a small teaspoon. Return cookies to oven and bake for another 7 minutes. Cool completely and chill for several hours before serving.
  5. If anyone is interested, there's a yahoo group for the America The Beautiful history program by Notgrass... Here's the link: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/notgrassatbusers/ ETA: Just noticed the typo in my title. I hate it when that happens!

  8. Thank you, this really helps me. I've only seen the sample but really like what I see. I love how everything is included (except math). Both responses I've received have encouraged me enough to give it a try. Thanks again:)
  9. Thanks for responding. I'm VERY interested in this program so it's good to hear from someone who is liking it. Anyone else?
  10. I've read reviews for Paths to Exploration but haven't seen much about Paths to Settlement. Is anyone using this? What is your opinion of it? Is it working for your family? If not, why? Thanks so much:)
