I would give a refund. If the buyer paid through Paypal, Paypal will side with them in most cases and issue a refund anyway. As a seller, I view purchasing insurance as my responsibility and to insure that I receive my money back if a package I ship is lost or damaged.

I agree with the others who suggest checking your state laws if you haven't already. In my state it is LEGAL to homeschool other people's children but ILLEGAL to charge for it.

You're welcome:) I wanted to add that the person picking your daughter up at her destination can also request a non-boarding pass at the check-in counter on their end and meet your daughter at her arrival gate. We have experience with that scenario as well.

Our 13 year old son and 14 year old nephew have both flown alone recently and didn't need an id of any kind. At the check-in counter, you can request to accompany your daughter to her gate and they will print you a non-boarding pass. They will request an id from you before printing the pass and you will be asked to show it again at security. Southwest allowed myself and my husband to accompany our son to his gate. And they also allowed my husband and I, as well as our son, to accompany our nephew to his gate. Both instances we stayed with him until he boarded and the plane left.

This school year we are going to be using IEW for the first time, SWI-B specifically. Although I would love to purchase TWSS in the future, it just isn't possible at this time. So I am going to purchase the TWSS Overview dvd and I'm wondering if the Tips & Tricks dvd would be beneficial to purchase too. What do you think? Any other recommendations? Thanks:) Charlotte

:iagree:Exactly this. ETA: I have offered to cover paypal fees in the past if it was an item I really wanted. I don't necessarily jump to the conclusion that just because someone requests "personal" that they are not trustworthy. Many instances, they probably just don't understand the different Paypal options. But honestly, I am leaning more and more to just buying new, at least with larger purchases. It's just seems safer these days.

I would ignore it but if I did respond (which I wouldn't) it would be anonymously.
