  1. https://trueandco.com/truespectrum They have a try-at-home policy in which you answer questions and they send you 4 bras to try at home. You have 5 days to send the ones you don't want back. FAQ
  2. Off to Costco in an hour! I can't resist the Buy 1 Get 1 on the Finish dishwasher tabs.
  3. :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:
  4. I think we need an extra year of school in which we just watch videos and eat popcorn.
  5. Thanks. We're not Christian so it doesn't make a difference to me. However it goes I'm going to have to navigate the waters. But I do want to make sure my kids understand the Christian basis for Western thought. :)
  6. I would find this extremely daunting. :grouphug: My mom went back to work after maybe 15 years and it was her first job in the U.S. so for all practical purposes she had no work history. She took classes at the local CC, got her childcare certification, and started with that. It's not what she wanted to do, but after a few years she had moved into her field. One of the happy coincidences in my life was that I learned a skill I can use in my own business, before I ever realized I would stay at home with kids. My plan is to re-start that business when the kids are grown up. I would find it much scarier to find someone to hire me.
  7. Bumping. :lurk5: We've watched the same shows, plus When We Left Earth. Maybe NOVA?
  8. I guess I don't think of sacrifice as a loaded word. I just think of it as the trade off. If I go out to dinner, I'm sacrificing some money. If I cook, I'm sacrificing my energy. If I choose one curriculum, I'm sacrificing another. I think we're all grown up enough to realize that if you choose one thing, you sacrifice the others. (shrug) I don't mean I'm falling on a sword. :tongue_smilie:
  9. Wait, what's the story with Palm Beach County? Don't leave me hanging...
  10. I couldn't do it either, not the data entry nor grasping the concept. I'm sticking with Mint.
  11. I bought the mapping one. I'm thinking I might not do the whole thing as a standalone but I think I'll pull from is as we go through the corresponding areas in history.
  12. I got caught up in adding something new to your list. My plan for in between is Great Books Academy. I'm not completely committed yet, though. They seem the most flexible.
  13. I can't recommend anything because I'm in the same boat doing the same research for my soon-to-be fifth grader. The one I like best so far in my research is here: http://www.gbt.org/ It's recommended by SWB as well.
  14. Yes, this is our family culture as well. Large sacrifices have been made but I feel no resentment about my own sacrifices, nor do I feel guilt about the sacrifices made for me.
  15. Add me as another person who is grateful for this curriculum. I would also buy it even if my kids were too old for it. The purchase price would be token compensation for all I've gleaned over the years.
  16. Did all of the above, also stayed at Shady Rest in Custer. I was glad to support another homeschooler and to be off the main drag by a couple of blocks. We enjoyed the Custer SP chuck wagon but it was expensive. If you do go, be sure to get Cowboy Keith's wagon. He's there 7 nights/week.
  17. I'm pretty sure you want to come California way. :coolgleamA: Please?!
  18. It's suddenly working! (I'm not doing anything differently; perhaps they had a glitch.) Quick! :driving:
  19. Can someone who has previously successfully completed the discount add one of the items to your cart and see if you can apply the discount code but obviously don't check out. I'd like to know if something has recently changed. ETA: See if the price actually changes after applying the code.
