  1. Oh, in that case, I hope someone else answers. I wanted to do this, but I gave up because it got to hard to figure out. DLTK has custom writing paper that you can make and print from here, but their website info prints at the bottom of the sheet. Would that help? If nothing else, it's a bump!
  2. Your welcome, glad I could help!
  3. Hey all-- I just posted about our history notebook for next year. If you don't mind, please, go take a look and tell me what you think(Be gentle!). I've thought about making them available for download on my website, but I'm not sure about the copyrighting issue for the pictures and I don't know if people would want it without the pictures, plus it's 101 pages long which would be a big file to download. Anyways, you can find the post here, let me know what you think.
  4. You may want to try this first. Just click on the get started button and you can make your own copywork sheets or print out a blank one. I got this from someone else here and it has been soooo helpful!
  5. Stephanie- You can see what we are planning here. We do history 5 days a week, so that helps in being able to complete it in 36 weeks. I agree with you thought, there is so much in the AG that I could take two years! Hope that helps!
  6. "bump" means that you want to give the post a boost in the line-up. If someone has recently posted, the thread moves up to the top so more people see it. Does that make sense?
  7. I have the lab notes and the cusenaire rods to go with Miquon. I consider the rods essential, the lab notes a great resource. Most of the time you can figure out what to do with the sheets, but it's nice to have an explanation available for the ones I don't get!
  8. I don't know much about these, other than I believe that they are abridged versions. Don't know if that helps, just trying to give you another bump!
  9. I do the IP a sememster behind, so I do the IP for 1A with 1B. I schedule a problem at a time, one a day for review. For the CWP's we use them one unit behind. We one page a day for review. Hope that helps!
  10. Congratulations! We tried this and were able to keep the cable off, but we have an antenna now, I need the news at least!
  11. I wrote this one! If you have any questions, please let me know, I'd be happy to answer. Rose--I didn't realize you had gotten it (Lulu, don't let me know who buys it), thank you!
  12. We used ETC and HOP together. I didn't add in FLL until she was on the blue level (the last one). It's fine to concentrate on reading and phonics before beginning FLL! Good luck with next year!
  13. We are also excited about the AG!
  14. I have not meant cat in black, didn't even know she was here in bburg! I have heard of Rocky Mount and should have made the Ferrum College connection. :)
  15. I second Hungry Mother State Park. SW Virginia is hot and muggy in August but it does cool off at night, so it's bearable.
  16. VA is relatively easy, Kristine explained it well. Also you don't have to begin testing until the end of first grade. We are also in SW, so I don't know about the counties you asked!
  17. Just to let you all know, we tried the cherries and they were delicious! Thanks for your help! Janie, I live in Blacksburg, I have no idea where Ferrum is in relation to that and I used to live in Roanoke! Thanks for the recipie!
  18. Megan-- I sent her a PM, so let me know if she doesn't email you and I'll see if we can do something else.!
  19. Your welcome! I like to do things everyday and so does my dd, but you could easily double up or leave some things out. Hope you find it useful!
  20. You could kind of pair it with Core 2. It is used for the second half of Core 6. Hope that helps!
  21. Thank you guys! This is what I thought, but you never know. I just might try to learn how to make cherry pie from real cherries instead of Mrs. Smith's! Janie, we are in SW VA, too bad because I don't know any WTM'ers here.
  22. I need your help to identify this tree and it's fruit. I think it's a cherry tree, but seeing that I have never seen one in real life and don't want to kill myself trying, I thought I'd ask for help. The picture is posted on my blog here. Thank you!
  23. You all are killing me! I so love what I see with TOG, it right up my alley, but number one I can't afford it for just one, especially since we will be moving overseas and I would have to buy all the books and the plans. Number two, there isn't one:confused:. Why must I open these threads and torture myself with the TOG I can't have :D!
