  1. Thanks so much for the advice. I appreciate the help. I think I was/am just overwhelmed w/ the workload this year and was looking for a way out. We shall persevere...
  2. My dd is going to be in 7th grade...not 8th. So she has done FLL1-4 and R&S 5-6. So sorry...
  3. Thanks for the responses. I didn't mean to communicate I would use the Easy Grammar for her at that level...maybe for little brother instead of R&S. I just liked how easy it looked and it made me wonder if all that is taught in R&S is necessary. Thanks so much.
  4. I haven't been on this board in awhile. It is very overwhelming for me. But I would appreciate advice. My dd will be in 8th grade this year and I don't see too many R&S users at this level. Is it overkill? She did FLL 1-4 then R&S for 5-7, on level. Is there a better alternative? At this level it is over my head at times, even w/ the teacher's book. I saw a Easy Grammar book for 6th grade and loved it. Any thoughts? TIA.
  5. What curriculum/materials have you found helpful in teaching structural analysis, i.e. syllabication and prefix/root word/suffix? This would be for a 5th grader who has scored low in this area for two years and I don't know how to teach it. TIA
  6. Does anyone know why we can no longer pre-order FLL 4? I went to peacehillpress website I wasn't able to place an order. TIA.
  7. Do you need the Teachers Manual for A Reason for Spelling level D? TIA.
  8. Does anyone use this? Why or why not? TIA
  9. Sorry if this has been on the board 1,000 times...I've been using R&S math but I purchased Abeka for 4th grade b/c i was afraid i wouldn't be able to teach the 4th grade material...i didn't think the TM explained things very well. Am i making this up? Does the R&S TM explain things well? She does great in math. The switch is for me not her....TIA
  10. Does anyone know why TWTM doesn't recommend R&S math? TIA
  11. Can anyone recommend a coming of age book for a girl from a christian view point? My dd will be 10 next month, which I think it too young, but she is receiving info from others so i'm afraid to wait much longer. I want the important info to come from her parents. TIA!
  12. Thanks for the info. She will be 10 in August and will be in 4th grade. We use the First Language Lesson series for grammar and I used a couple of progeny press lit guides this past year, which went o.k.
