  1. I have some Abeka history books that we use as a reference sometimes. I really like them.
  2. :lurk5: I really want to start something like this, but the set up (time and money) seems overwhelming to me :( I have 5 kids (so far)....4 that are doing some sort of school.
  3. I would love if you could pm me that info. I am preparing to travel and adopt from Liberia in the future. That could be a wonderful resource for us. We are 10-15 min from Minneapolis. :)
  4. Here is the Hannah's Helps group :) http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Hannah_hs_helps/messages/1?l=1
  5. Maybe have them color them real nice and get them laminated. Or just print them on card stock. They could use both sets of cards for review. :)
  6. Do you have the AG for SOTW? It has review cards you can print off in it. We are using those to drill like once a week. Once we cover a chapter, we add that card into the drill.
  7. As a woman with ADHD, your daughter sounds a lot like me when I was in school. :grouphug: She is lucky that she has a loving mama homeschooling her! :) Maybe she would like paging through Kingfisher World History book. Or watching things like Unsolved History or traveling shows on cable. They help me to find a "spark". I love history, but am not a big fan of science. But I am changing that :) I have been watching How It's Made and Myth Busters. It is helping me be more science friendly.
  8. What if she used audio and "read" the book at the same time? :)
  9. :iagree: So for my kids so far (born 11/25 and 1/10) is was when they were going into 2nd grade.
  10. I am pulling out the VP cards as we address them in MOH and SOTW.
