These look amazing!! This is exactly what I was picturing when I was thinking about doing notebooks with the kids this year. Anyone try them before? I don't know that we will buy them, but they certainly give some inspiration.

I know this is an old thread, but I just discovered these and wanted to bump.  We plan to use these journals for the summer.  A stack of books from the library and a DIY journal per kid.  Add in the neighborhood swimming pool and our summer is planned!  Yay!!

Has anyone used these? I put one in my cart last Summer when they were talked about, but wasn't sure how or when we'd use it. I can't find the samples on her website anymore.

You can look inside on Amazon.

I picked up this one for my 11-almost-12 year old. We are doing solely a workbook approach to everything else this year, so I wanted something for bible/devotions/sort of creative stuff that was much more relaxed and easy. She really likes it - we did the whole 'set up a quiet time basket' for her as well, which was pretty fun and cute. She is a slow starter in the mornings, so it's a really nice way for her to start the day with a bit of Bible and creativity before launching into the harder brain-strain schoolwork.

We are very structured in our schooling, so as much as I like the idea of these books I don't know that I'd b brave enough to go with these for a larger range of subjects - but that's probably more a reflection on me than the product itself.

Yes.

They are VERY ADORABLE!

They are bigger than I thought they would be (there are smaller ones. Look at the page count listed on amazon)

They are very repetitive in what they want you to do. Its the same thing every five or six pages.

As a free-choice, or over the summer type thing for us, I love LOVE them. We already use a plain lesson book for school proper and since I can have them do literally anything at all in a blank notebook, I won't be switching to these for school.

They really are so cute and fun and colorable. There's a "math genulius" I want to pick up for our big summer road trip.

Oh I should add... I got ours after I saw them at a friends house. All her kids use them FOR/as school and its going swimmingly for them! They are definitely a great bridge between a workbooky style and a notebooky style, iykwim.

And I wouldnt bother if your kid doesn't like to color.

My 2nd grader is using the "100 Words" book from this author.  We like it a lot, but it is TINY.  Meaning 4"x6".  So definitely check out the book dimensions when you order, LOL.  I totally wasn't expecting a "pocket book."

(We are still enjoying it.  It is animal themed, which my kiddo loves.)
