mamapjama
with ground meat added? The kids will not eat any pasta with spaghetti sauce on it. Though they love pizza and I did use my sandwhich toaster very successfully with it. Dh made a huge batch last night non realizing the kids would not eat it. What can I make with it that the kids really won't think about it being there?
cjzimmer1
We really love the pasta e fagioli soup at olive garden. The copycat recipe uses spaghetti sauce. http://www.copykat.com/component/rapidrecipe/?page=viewrecipe&recipe_id=

springmama
That's a great idea, but my first thought was to put it on top of this pizza crust recipe.
hsingscrapper
What about meatball soup? I have a kids cookbook around here somewhere that calls for frozen veggies, ramen noodles, spaghetti sauce and frozen meatballs. Let me know if you want it and I'll hunt it down. It's really yummy! My ds9 enjoyed making it.
melissel
Lasagna with loads of cheese? I'm not a big fan of spaghetti sauce in general, but I never mind it in lasagna as long as there's enough cheese.
dawn of ns
You can always just serve it over rice or mashed potatoes. Either is good.
mamapjama
Thanks for the suggestions :) Some of those ideas sound really great and I will try them. But if the kids see the red sauce they don't seem to want to eat it. The little one likely will but because he saw the older show dislike that's often contagious :001_smile: I tried turning it into a hamburger pie. I put the spaghetti sauce/meat in the casserole dish. Added some veggies, and then topped it off with mashed potatoes and grated cheese. They will likely notice the sauce underneath but hopefully the potatoes and cheese will entice them - or at least fill them up :) Though this totally depends on how they are looking at potatoes these days
