  1. We ended up with T-Mobile. $40 per month for unlimited everything BUT they throttle your data speeds after the first G of usage. Sent from my RCT6773W22B using Tapatalk
  2. I've been hypo almost my entire life. I'm also on Medicaid and they aren't really good about letting you have the name brand meds. Sent from my RCT6773W22B using Tapatalk
  3. So I've been trying to get my thyroid regulated again. My knees and heels have been hurting lately. I went to my doctor on Wednesday and got my blood drawn on Thursday. She is checking for Hashimoto's, rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, and my vitamin D levels. Am I crazy to be scared? If they come back positive, what lies ahead for me?
  4. I've found workbooks for English but I'm wondering if there are workbooks for pre-algebra and up? Fury still seems to be getting lost and math beyond pre-algebra is my nemesis. I'm fond of accounting but haven't found a good substitute for that. He's decided (for a while) that he's interested in automotive or welding. I'm so lost with him. *smh*
  5. I would love a new wedding ring or Google play cards Sent from my RCT6773W22B using Tapatalk

  7. So is this happening? Sent from my RCT6773W22B using Tapatalk
  8. Has anyone started this yet? Or is it too early?? Sent from my RCT6773W22B using Tapatalk
  9. Walking is a great way to get in the habit of doing something. I started there and then moved on, gradually, to lifting. Did I mention I despise cardio?? LOL I now prefer lifting heavy (3-5 sets of 5 reps) to getting anywhere near the cardio machines. I still do HIIT cardio 2x per week, though, for 20 minutes. I also have a 45 minute walk each way to and from the gym. Sent from my RCT6773W22 using Tapatalk
  10. I usually save berries and fruits for my cheat/re-feed meal. I will take a look at the brownie recipe. Sent from my RCT6773W22 using Tapatalk
  11. If counting calories isn't your thing, then take a look at Lee Labrada's transformation plan on www.bodybuilding.com. I think you might find his methods helpful. Sent from my RCT6773W22 using Tapatalk
  12. I will have to remember this. Sent from my RCT6773W22 using Tapatalk
  13. I would strongly suggest weight training and eating a diet that gives you enough protein to maintain muscle mass but remember that the human body needs at least 1200 calories minimum to function. Do NOT go below that without your doctor involved!! It is not safe!! A good percentage split is either 40/40/20 or 40/30/30 if you are active beyond regular day-to-day tasks. That's 40% protein either way. 40/40/20 at 1200 calories has 120 grams each of protein and carbs along with 26-27 grams of fat. Your body needs at least 20% fats for optimum hormones and joint lubrication. Sent from my RCT6773W22 using Tapatalk
  14. No Trader Joes here yet. Nearest one is about two hours away. Sent from my RCT6773W22 using Tapatalk
  15. Ok. I feel a little silly writing this out but you are probably the only people I could talk to. I need to know I'm not alone. I'm 155 lbs and aiming for 130 lbs. I also lift five days a week. I eat about 1800 calories a day including 180 grams of protein, about 50-60 grams of carbs, and the rest are fats. I'm estimating about 90% of my carbs are coming from veggies. Except for one meal (maybe two) per week, I avoid starchy and simple carbs as well as grains. I also stick to stevia (packets = no maltodextrin) as a sweetener. I wouldn't call it paleo but more of a whole foods approach since I've been using low fat cottage cheese to help with protein and fats. I need to know if you are eating similarly, what do you do when cravings for sweet treats hit you like a runaway Twinkie truck? I don't want to derail my hard work but I know what happens if I don't address the craving. Sent from my RCT6773W22 using Tapatalk
  16. I need your help! Mr. Picky Pants will be formally joining us this year. We will be working on the basics of learning to read and write and numbers/math. He will be listening in as he desires to his brothers' lessons in science, history and grammar. I will be shopping at Rainbow Resource for the textbooks and pricier supplies. What is your favorite, inexpensive math for littles? I would like to keep it to $50 or less UNLESS I can use it for multiple years. Sent from my RCT6773W22 using Tapatalk
  17. Would the Ener-G egg replacer work with coconut flour? Sent from my RCT6773W22 using Tapatalk
  18. I guess I assumed with coconut flour, it would be to bind it together. Sent from my RCT6773W22 using Tapatalk
  19. Ok. I scored a sweet deal on coconut flour but then I remembered the cost of eggs. I refuse to pay more than $2 per dozen for standard eggs. It just won't fit my budget. For those of you who live your life without eggs and gluten, do you have any fave free recipe sites? Also, do you have any favorite egg replacers? Are egg whites safe for people with egg allergies? I tried searching for eggless recipes but keep getting some with egg whites which sounds weird to me. Sent from my RCT6773W22 using Tapatalk
  20. Dragon, my 11 yo DS, is scheduled for surgery on Wednesday. He has lipomas that keep popping up. This is his fourth surgery. He has one next to his spine and I am worried. When we met with the surgeon for the consult, he told the doctor that there was one under his chin that sometimes made his jaw numb. This caused alarm with the surgeon and he called a pediatric oncologist friend who called another pediatric oncologist at Riley hospital. Given a family history of cancer, I'm nervous. Please send prayers and positive thoughts his way.
