Kay in Cal
I found Crocs because of the boards a few years ago, but even Crocs don't show my awesome new socks. Anyone know of some comfy, informal, attractive and stylish sandals (or shoes) that would display my hand-made socks? What are the cool kids wearing nowadays? newbie
I am not a cool kid, but birkenstocks would show your socks. Hey, that rhymes.
MelaniePA
Mary Janes of some sort?
GailV
I wear a pair of Skechers Mary Janes when I want to display my socks. There are also clear shoes out there.
JudoMom
I want these Keens. Seal Brown would be my top choice, but if the shoe fairy dropped another color in my lap I wouldn't argue.
tibbyl
Checks Crocs website. They have a huge selection of sandals as well as Mary Janes that would indeed show off your socks. Crocs even sells high heels that appropriate for work. http://www.crocs.com/products/women/
Carol in Cal.
...but some upscale knitting stores sell shoes made of clear, hard plastic specifically to show off your socks. I have seen frosted boots, and clear, hard, plastic pumps in the past.

Carol in Cal.
Birkenstocks are not REALLY sandals. They're a way of life. Just sayin'...
Kay in Cal
No no no... socks are what keep your feet warm when you wear sandals in the winter. It's like 60 degrees outside, must have socks! But I mean big chunky sandals/slides--like Birks or Crocs, not like the strappy thinner ones you wear in summer. Crissy
What are the cool kids wearing nowadays? The cool kids are not wearing socks with any sort of sandal, whether the socks be homemade or not. ;)
Kay in Cal
Yeah yeah... but the cool hippy kids are... are there still hippy kids? Taking suggestions, found some Birkenstock Mary Janes: These might work...

QVC has some cute styles and okay prices.

We are talking the CLASSIC Birks, the ones with two straps in a tannish brownish color. The ones that are pretty much just BACKGROUND for the lovely socks you made!
