MIch elle
I can't figure it out. I have choir practice tonight and I don't think I can sing. TIA
joannqn
The only time my throat gets sore is when I am dehydrated.
homeschoolmom
Post nasal drip from dry air/allergies? Drink lots of water. Keep yourself and the air hydrated. A long steamy shower after a cup of herbal tea might help.
In The Great White North
The last time I had strep, my throat was a little scratchy - no other symptoms. I wouldn't have even gotten it tested if I hadn't had the kids in already.
Tree House Academy
Post nasal drip, or maybe even irritation from Choir practices. Have you been practicing more lately than you are used to? If so, it could be strain on your vocal cords. Try eating some hot things - soup, broth and drinking hot cocoa or coffee. Lemon juice is also supposed to be good, but I have no idea how you would even go about that one. LOL I never was brave enough to attempt it. Melissa in Australia
this happens to me when I read aloud for more than 1 1/2 hours straight. I sometimes almost lose my voice
Natalieclare
Sometimes reflux is the culprit.

newlifemom
Liquid Geritol. It is a vitamin and it coats the vocal cords. That will help if your voice is tired or strained. If it is some kind of allergy, I had it 2 years ago claritin cleared it up completely within 2-3 days. I had almost lost my voice for no apparent reason. I now know it was allergies. MIch elle
it's bothered me before from my July operation but not this bad. I had my gall bladder removed. My choir director pointed this out to me that I've complained of this before. But why would it take so long for my trachea to heal (from the tube they used to put me to sleep)? Does it take the body that long to heal itself - maybe?
Desert Rat
Another dry air vote here or post nasal drip. I would drink extra water and try a sinus wash for congestion if that's an issue.
AprilTN
I've had many bouts of strep throat as a child/teenager, but the WORST sore throat I've ever experienced was due to an ear infection. My ear didn't hurt at all, but my throat hurt so bad I would get tears in my eyes if I even attempted to swallow.
