ktgrok
One is tearing up my side yard right now. Can your cat come over to play?

Apparently, her cat had got the mole he'd been battling. and left it on his doorstep.

GailV
Our neighbor's cat used to catch moles. The neighbor said he stopped because moles taste like dirt. HOW DOES SHE KNOW THIS???? (I mean, it sort of makes sense, but it amuses me to speculate on her reasoning) 1
MooCow
Lol the neighbors next door had a cat that would bite off the head of little critters. And then leave them. Blech. But, darn other than that, she definitely kept the critters away.

It turned me, a big dog person, into having an interest in cats. while I'd like for dudeling to have a lap cat (he can get him to sit on a blanket on his lap. for a little bit.) - I'm thrilled he has such hunter instincts . . . 28 minutes ago, MooCow said: Lol the neighbors next door had a cat that would bite off the head of little critters. Usually they're dead - but not always. sometimes he only mortally wounds them - and gets affronted if I remove the critter. He'll come back and check. That's the extent of his interest in them. there's a guy on youtube that hunts rats and muskrats with mink. (he's made a business out of it as well as his youtube channel.) At least the mink will KILL it as soon as they catch it. (He swaps their kill for prepared meat)
ScoutTN
Yeah, we used to have a neighbor’s cat that hunted in everyone’s yard. A huge orange tiger tomcat. He loved to get moles. I wish those neighbors would move back
TexasProud
I would love to hire your cat! We have SO many moles. Ours catches mice in the garage, but no moles from the yard.
