Sarah0000
I need to make my kids ages, seven and four, a list posted next to Alexa of acceptable songs, soundtracks, or keywords for Amazon Music during calmer times of the day. "Eye of the Tiger" at lunchtime or at 6:00am is not so fun, for instance. It doesn't need to be classical or instrumental but if its not silly, fighting, or video game music they tend to gravitate towards dramatic pieces such as Ride of the Valkyries or Pirates of the Caribbean. Any suggestions to add? Thanks so much! Quiet time (before 8am, baby nap time, bedtime) Moonlight Sonata Four Seasons Fur Elise Meal time Maple Leaf Rag The Entertainer Flight of the Bumblebee

KathyBC
I use Spotify. I type in a mood or activity and they pop up a song list that usually works for me. No Alexa experience, so not sure how that would work together.

That would be smarter though just to use premade lists. Of course Alexa will also make suggestions of playlists (and maybe channels? I need to explore) based on what you play. But we could add apps and play other stuff, hmm.
alisoncooks
If you don't mind Christian content, my kiddos have fallen asleep to this for years: (we have two of the albums and they are so soothing and gentle)
KungFuPanda
I like my quiet time to be music-free. My family disagrees. My ears get full hearing all of their "required" unnatural noise at all times. They think I'm nuts. I don't get how they don't need a break from the incessant sound input.
alisoncooks
There are lots of meditation/relaxation playlists in YouTube: chimes and birds chirping and rain falling and waves crashing and etc. I don't really meditate, but I do like those sounds (sometimes) when I don't want organized music but still want background noise. mmasc
Spotify has the K, 1st, and 2nd grade Enrichment playlists from memoria press. All of the songs aren’t relaxing, but you could skip those or make a list from the ones you like.
