Good morning!  i have got to find more motivation in my life.  I cannot seem to get anything more than the bare minimum done these days.

-coffee
-DS17 off to school (half day for Mass today)
-school with DS14 (including difficult writing assignment due to WTMA at 5 pm; still getting caught up for AP Computers class)
-finish up SC homeschool paperwork and email/mail off to where it belongs
-workout (yesterday's HiiT workout that I didn't do)
-more laundry (including baseball uniform that needs to be scrubbed)
-clean stove thoroughly
-organizing shelves in dining room (I have been putting this off)
-make some Whole30 approved lunches (buffalo chicken in crockpot is one idea, chicken salad is another)
-library to return book that is due
-grocery store if needed
-dinner

ETA:  DH just informed me we are going to DMV today once DS17 gets home from school to re-do our licenses and tags.  I have a sneaking suspicion this is going to take all afternoon.....

Good morning!

  • school w/dd - I'm breathing a sigh of relief because she decided to wait until June to take the ACT
  • office work (banking, emails, get messy desk under control)
  • take three big boxes containing 2018 paperwork down to basement storage area (yes, they have been sitting in my office for three months...the cat will be sad because she likes sleeping on top of them)
  • put away laundry
  • mop sunroom
  • go to bank
  • pick up Heartgard, Dasuquin, and pill pockets from vet
  • get groceries (have to go to two stores to get what I need - ugh)
  • read more of the book I started last night (How to Be a Good Creature by Sy Montgomery - she is one of my favorites)
  • dd has a violin lesson
  • dinner: black bean tostadas, rice, slaw
  • sauna tonight & watch Seinfeld w/dh

Morning, all!

Yesterday, I lost my car keys at a meeting; thankfully they were found later in the afternoon.  I had left them in someone else's car during a lunch run.  I felt incredibly stupid, but thankful.  Had to sit at Starbucks (tragedy) until dh could pick me up and go retrieve car.  Fun times...

To do today:

shower, dress, pack lunches

make copies of new unit, finish changes to assignment calendar

dr appt to check my blood test results, A1C levels

hair appt for both dd and self

grocery store for essentials

read for 52 week challenge

watch tv, relax

Have a great day!

Also add to my list: help ds8 manage his behavior over ds6's new Legos.  Good times! LOL

And my great start to the day was derailed by a “discussion” with a teenager. 😩

I’ve been parenting for fifteen years, just about, and I’m still a rookie. That’s the “good” part about kids who insist on growing up. 😏

Good morning everyone.

human care is done

pet care is done.  Including cleaning up after Libby who got six inches from the door (really?) before having an accident.  And now after having some sliding down the stair incidents, I am having to carry her down stairs as well as up.  I guess that is my weight lifting regimen with really awkward weights.

Waiting to hear back from nurse regarding ds' vaccination requirements for college.  (I thought he was all done but we might have only done one in a two part series?)

I agreed last night to let dd sleep in this morning since the timing of the oral surgeon consult will make it impossible to do much of school before hand.

Stupid nurse refused to talk to me because ds is an adult.  I have the secret medical information in my hands because they handed it to me just yesterday.  But apparently I am not allowed to ask a non-patient specific question about a vaccine because somehow that is even more top secret.  (This might be a little bit of a rant.)

Hallelujah, dh's sibling who has the medical POA for FIL finally made the call and got him on a waiting list for a nursing home with a memory care wing. This should have happened at least six months ago. Hopefully, the wait won't be very long because FIL is definitely on the decline.🙁

My dh, who thinks that health care providers are responsive to consumers- but we have Kaiser- is fretting because the scheduler hasn't called us back. Given the Kaiser timeline- we should hear tomorrow. If not I will call then.  Or he can call today and fret at them. Just not at me. I have no control over Kaiser.

Put in the solar lights along the front walk. Watered, pulled some weeds.

Next up- make lunch for dd2 who is coming home. Wake up ds3- who needs to get some work done. Write a quick note for dd1.

The dishwasher is running, laundry is going.

Second load of laundry is waiting to get switched.

Cleaned kitchen & ran dishwasher.

Vacuumed main floor, upstairs, and two sets of steps.

Moved boxes down to basement.

Got bank deposit ready, went through emails, tidied up my desk, went over a few work things w/dh.

Did horse chores.

Made a grocery list.

Dd and I are heading out for errands & grocery shopping now.

Well, I was a powerhouse up to about 8am this morning, LOL.  I got the kids off to the bus on time with all their stuff, took out the garbage, and cleaned up the kitchen / bathroom.

Then I took a nap and woke up at 1:something.  Oops.

I replied to all the important emails and caught up on social media and news.

To do:

  • Client wants a conference call - ugh.
  • Make myself presentable to go out this evening.
  • Work work work.
  • Work with kid 1 on homework and AHG requirements.
  • Take kids to school board meeting.
  • If possible, shop for AHG party stuff we promised to provide.
  • Work with kid 2 on her homework and AHG requirements.
  • Whatever else gets done.

Yay, the client conference call is put off until tomorrow.

Kids don't have a ton of homework, but we have a lot of AHG stuff to do, and Kid 1 is being a butt about it.  On top of this, the unit leader is pushing something that I don't think my kid is ready for.  It is part of the cross-over ceremony, so doing it half-assed is not an option IMO.  Ugh.

I feel nervous about something, but I'm not sure what.  Am I forgetting something??

Well we got the cars registered in SC and are $1500 poorer.  DH and DS17 got their licenses.  Not me.  No ma'am.  Apparently the school bill that comes addressed to Mr. and Mrs. DH's first name/our last name doesn't prove that I live at this address, only that DH and DS17 live here.  What will prove that I live here, you might ask?  If I go to the post office and mail myself an empty envelope addressed to me.

My day was most pleasantly derailed when a dear friend stopped by for a visit. This almost never happens, but I cant think of a better way for my day to be “upset.” ❣️
