Dandruff?

I've developed dandruff. Why? I've never had dandruff in my life! Should I use a special shampoo like Head and Shoulders? Does that really work?

Yes. Head and shoulders works here. Anytime I switch to anything else we have problems again. It's annoying because it's expensive and not as kind to my hair as others.

Dh and our boys are prone to dandruff. They use Neutrogena T Gel shampoo once a week and that keeps it at bay.

My daughter has really bad dandruff. We tried Head and Shoulders and Selson Blue. We even went to the dermatologist about it and got a prescription for different dandruff shampoos (I can't recall the names now). Finally, my mother suggested T-Gel shampoo and we have now found a solution. She has to use it pretty regularly but, it does work.

Our dermatologist recommended alternating between Selsun Blue Moisturizing and T-Gel Daily Control, and that's worked really well here.

DH and both boys are prone to dandruff. DH uses T-Gel but the boys have found that switching between it and Head and Shoulders works best for them. Sometimes we throw Selsun Blue in the mix. They all use some type of dandruff shampoo daily.

My dd's dandruff was caused by a dry scalp. Regular "dandruff" shampoo did not help. She began using Aussie Moist, and her dandruff cleared right up.

She does wash her hair everyday but she uses the T-Gel every other shampoo. On the other days, she uses a conditioning shampoo by Herbal Essences.

My "dandruff" is actually a soap sensitivity (it took me 33 years to figure that out).

 

I switch between the baking soda and vinegar wash and New Wash ($$$) and that keeps it at bay. My hair is also now the best it has ever been. It has so much body.

 

If you try dandruff cures and they don't do anything, then try something like this. People develop new sensitivities all the time.
