OnMyOwn
DS just had a college interview and is going to follow up with a thank you note. Do you think this should be hand-written and sent through the mail or sent through email?

Chanley
My daughter sent hers via email. One school gave no response, the other replied with a very gracious response and offered to let her sit in on more classes if she visited in the future.

catz
We did e-mail too. For most schools it's a 2 way street. They'll send a gracious note too either before or after. My son got a random call to his cell yesterday from a school he intereviewed at (and he's a junior). LOL. He's not a fan.
OnMyOwn
Okay, so my son just got a handwritten note in the mail today from the lady that interviewed him. Does that change anyone's opinion? Edited November 10, 2017 by OnMyOwn
Pawz4me
I'd still do email. Although there is (of course) nothing wrong with a handwritten note.
katilac
Email. I think handwritten notes from the school are the current thing. Oldest got a few, youngest has got a ton two years later, big overlap in schools.
Kareni
I think that either is fine. For what it's worth, my daughter (now out of college for four years) sent handwritten thank you notes through the mail. Regards, Kareni
Sebastian (a lady)
I do interviews. Most students would not have my address to send a card. I would love to get a thank you email. In 13 years of interviewing, I can count on one hand the students who have sent a thank you.
