Sadly is is likely that others have been through this as well. There are serious flaws with the current system. Very serious. The way the Community Services Board has explained this is: the school system will provide funds, but Medicaid is the "gate keeper." The CSB is apparently the lock on the gate. They interviewed him in order to get the intensive in-home secured. Their board informs Medicaid. The group home procedure is similar. I don't know how much the school system pays, but he does have an IEP in place and that opened up more funding for the behavioral center. They don't make any decisions though.
