Terabith
Developed a migraine last night. Took meds, went to bed, and it's better but not gone and I have a sore throat. I went in for a strep test because I had that recently and it was negative. But I'm tired and increasingly achy. But, I could be achy from my back being a little messed up. I could be tired from not sleeping well. Could have allergies contributing to sore throat, though I don't usually have allergies. I don't feel well and mostly just want to go to bed, but there are a lot of things that I need/ want to do, as well. But if I'm contagious sick, I don't want to spread this. Just not sure whether it's a collection of random non contagious symptoms with benign explanations or if I'm ill and should stay home. My husband and youngest have been feeling crummy, too. Starr
There is a virus going around with those symptoms. I think you'll know by tomorrow. I hope you feel better soon!
Terabith
Trying to decide if I should go to a friend's birthday party tonight.
ILiveInFlipFlops
It does sound like a bug, but even if you're not contagious, stay home and rest so you can get yourself better or it will just drag on and on for you. It's ok to take care of yourself for a few days. (hugs)

Catwoman
Another vote for your whole family to stay home. Please don't spread germs to the other people at the party. I hope you guys feel better soon!
El...
Oh dear. Well, if you go to the party and come down with the flu tomorrow, you'll feel really, really bad for having shared it. :( I hope you feel better quickly!
Terabith
I don't really feel up for going. Feel pretty crummy. But I hate letting down a friend. It's her 50th.

You would, however, be letting her down if you went to the party and she ended up getting sick as a result.
zoobie
You can't catch a break with the germs! :( Hope you feel better soon.
footballmom
DS just tested positive for Flu and I went in thinking maybe strep, lol. Your symptoms sound a lot like his so another vote to take it easy tonight!
Ausmumof3
Hope you are feeling better soon. I think it's ok to rest up. Maybe when you are feeling better you can do coffee and cake or something to celebrate and acknowledge her birthday of it's really important to you. Terabith
Feel somewhat better today. Migraine hangover, throat is still sore and really tired and a little achy, but definitely better. I think not going to party was right call, but I feel bad for friend. At con today to get book signed but fading fast.
Cinder
Your symptoms sound like what ds1 had when he had mono. He thought it was strep, tested negative so doc tested for mono--positive. It was about a week of lots of rest before he started feeling normal-ish again. :grouphug:
Terabith
Started driving home before realizing I shouldn't be driving. Got to my in law's house and take me home. Back in bed. Blech. I don't feel awful as long as I'm horizontal. Just not at all well. Headache, sore throat, body aches, tired, low grade feverish.
Catwoman
I hate to say this, but I'm a bit annoyed with you for exposing so many other people when you know you are ill. You went to a con and stood in line to have a book signed, knowing that you were sick and could pass your illness along to others. Then you knowingly exposed your in-laws. I'm sorry, but that just wasn't a nice thing to do. I'm sorry you're sick and hope you feel better soon, but next time, please think of others before you go out and spread your germs. Terabith
It's very possible that it's just a migraine and allergies. The symptoms all have a variety of explanations from sick to not contagious. That's why I've been ambivalent. The illness that seemed most likely, strep, was ruled out. I sat away from others at the con just to be safe.
