Do any of you provide respite care for foster or other caregivers?

I'm trying to find information about this in my state.  I know it will differ from state to state but in general is this usually done in the family or caregiver's home or do I need to open my home?  If the latter, does it matter that we rent?  Just trying to gather info, especially from those with experience.  Thanks!

We receive rspite care as a military family with a special needs child. Respite is provided in our home I could ask a provider to act as a "mother's helper" type of job. The main restriction we have is the respite provider may not drive the children.

Our respite providers are organized through Easter Seals though it may vary in areas of the U.S.
