maize
Can I become one? I was at the dentist today and making future appointments; started adding up doctor/dentist/orthodontist/ optometrist/therapist appointments for my family for an average year and came up with about 210. Granted, that's counting taking four kids to the dentist on one day as 4 appointments but really... It's a lot. Can I just stop? (OK not really but I can daydream yes?) scrapbookbuzz
I don't eschew allopathic (modern) medicine but, as I tell my kids, "Don't start there." There are so many natural remedies to start with first. Welcome to the awakening!
SparklyUnicorn
holy cow you might need some therapy appointments to talk about that
Liz CA
I actually had to see an allopathic doctor today - an optometrist. Not too bad. Like Scrapbook, I go first to the naturopath and then look elsewhere if I have to. It's not an either / or thing but a complementary arrangement.

Ausmumof3
Wow that's a lot! Orthodontist takes up a lot of time because it's regular adjustments.
eternalsummer
Wow. We have maybe 2-3 doctor's visits a year when I'm not pregnant, and often it is just to see a NP at the Walgreens.
maize
Wow. We have maybe 2-3 doctor's visits a year when I'm not pregnant, and often it is just to see a NP at the Walgreens. Dh alone has to follow up pretty regularly with a retinal specialist, renal specialist, audiologist, neurologist, psychiatrist and therapist just to stay on top of chronic issues. We just don't have the best genes for health.

Shellydon
Wow, that is a lot. I go the the MD once a year. Kids go once a year. Dentist twice a year, ortho every 6 weeks. I don't count the ortho as a doctor apt. though. 210 would make me crazy for sure!
kroe1
Gosh, we haven't been to a doctor in years. I do get teeth cleaned once a year, but that is because I usually forget at the 6th month mark.
