Beth in SW WA
I received this nice email today from one of Bill Bennett's peeps: Dear Beth: Nice to hear from you and I know you and your kids will enjoy these materials. We're seeing a lot of exciting things happen around the country with Bill's books and the Roadmap supplements. Of course we would be happy to extend your password license when your students begin. Just send an e-mail reminder to me and I'll make it happen! All the best, Rex Bolinger _________________ Rex Bolinger, Ed.D. newbie
Is he going down a different road, because the whole reason my dh got us started on K12, is because Bill Bennet started it.
Beth in SW WA
Hi, Here is the website that explains Bennett's program to supplement his books: http://www.roadmaptolastbesthope.com/ I ordered the book & the $30/yr membership to the online component of the program. K12 isn't going anywhere. Bennett is just branching out to the high school history market.
Bev in B'ville
Thanks for posting this. I'm starting to look at next year and figure out what I'm doing. This may fit in nicely. Thanks again, Bev
Cedarmom
We are starting the book and road map today. I am very excited. The Road map has great visual and the activities look interesting. I hope my son likes it as much as I think he will. I think the book itself is a great American history narrative.
SkateLeft
Is he going down a different road, because the whole reason my dh got us started on K12, is because Bill Bennet started it. Bill Bennett stepped down from his position at K12 in 2005. He is no longer affiliated with K12. (I worked for K12 for a time.)
TravelingChris
We have been using this and my daughter is enjoying the book and the website. I find it easy to use which is a real blessing at this time.

Storm Bay
Whenever I hear the name Bill Bennett, I think of a former premiere of BC, Canada. Anyone else think the same? His dad was premiere for about 20 years earlier when the province was financially in the black. I have no idea if that first Bennett was a good guy or not as I was very young when he was finally voted out.
Michelle in GA
For those of you who will use this next year, will you do both volumes in 1 year ?

Our Bill Bennett is the guy who blew millions of dollars he earned selling books on "Virtue" on his gambling addiction. Different guy. In The Great White North
We did both volumes in one year.
JustGin
We used the book and the regular version of the Roadmaps with oldest dd and she LOVED it! She listened to the book on audio and picked and printed from the online student resources to build her own study guide. I added in a book list and dvds on a schedule. We did this over two years and it was a great success. We never used the premium because the regular was more than enough. :-)
tampamommy
We used the basic roadmap and it was more than sufficient. We covered Volumes 1-3 in 8th grade.
Cindyg
Do you get both volumes with a membership, or do you have to buy two different memberships? If my main goal is to get to the audiobooks, what level do I need to purchase? Student or teacher? Basic or premium? Cindyg
If my main goal is to get to the audiobooks, what level do I need to purchase? Student or teacher? Basic or premium? Bump. Anybody know? I just called the customer service number, and they didn't know. They didn't even know there WAS an audio product, though the website says there is.
