ILiveInFlipFlops
Ticket to Ride worked for for us with similar ages. Also Citadels and Zombie Fluxx (or any of the Fluxx games). And I've heard good things about Pandemic. I'm still trying to find our New Year's game here. There are too many to choose from! Jkacz
PicWits! By Mindware. Everyone from my 3rd grader to my husband enjoys playing it.
Carol in Cal.
Artifact, but the 3rd grader might need a little scaffolding.

ProudGrandma
we gave them Pic Wits a couple a years ago...but I will check out Fluxx. I just now realized a card game or smaller game would best...they are flying south for Christmas...and a card game would be easier to pack.
Vida Winter
For that range of ages we love Apples to Apples Jr -or- Reverse Charades Jr.
Tanaqui
Off the top of my head? Quirkle King of Tokyo (wait, is that under $25?) Sushi Go Party! Ticket to Ride Apples to Apples we gave them Pic Wits a couple a years ago...but I will check out Fluxx. I just now realized a card game or smaller game would best...they are flying south for Christmas...and a card game would be easier to pack. Oh! Go with Sushi Go Party! or Fluxx, then. Kassia
Another vote for Apples to Apples, Jr. We have a big age gap between kids and have loved that game for a long time. It's still my kids' favorite game and we laugh a lot when we play.
Raifta
Set Dixit (although that's big) Cardline Animals Exploding Kittens got played by the 7 to 33 year olds last year on Christmas Eve and everyone had a blast

Plateau Mama
My kids are 3rd, 9th, 11th. Our favorite is Qwirkle. Everyone can play. No one gets frustrated or board. Ticket to Ride is fun but my younger has a hard time. Tenzie is fun (and cheap). Dog bites Man

happypamama
My family enjoys Set and Ticket to Ride. This year, I ordered Quirkle (partly because my young ones can play a bit), Codenames, Dragonwood, and Sheriff of Nottingham.
