DawnM
I want to ask for rubber mats for Christmas for our new to us car. Weather tech will be about $300 for front, back, and cargo area. Is there another company that makes them for less that are just as quality? I don't want to get something that I will just regret, but if there really is a good company out there that is trustworthy and looks and fits as nice, I would like to look. Thanks!, Dawn
kitten18
You might check Cabela's. I think they carry quite a few brands and I assume there would be reviews there.

I just bought Dh weather tec for his truck. He love them. Not sure about knock offs. Thanks!, Dawn
FriedClams
I LOVE my Weather Tech liners. Love. I have them in my front and middle seat floors. They fit beautifully and work great. I'm not sure about the knock offs.
itsheresomewhere
Love my Weather Techs. DH has some and they are going strong 13 years later. They look new still. I bought mine a few years ago from Amazon. Check their warehouse for some discounted ones. I saved quite a bit getting them from there.
LifeLovePassion
We love our weather tech mats. Worth every penny. From the ease of vacuuming sand out of them in summer to containing winter slush, well worth it.
itsheresomewhere
And FYI- they hold a large iced tea that you just got very well. Not a drop on the carpet.
Tap
I have Subaru mats, but when I was researching, the only others recommended at the same stars/frequwncy were WT.
Annie G
I love our weather techs- could you delay or skip buying the ones for the cargo area? We don't have any of our cargo areas covered but we don't carry anything wet or dirty.

I think what I am seeing is that the quality of WT might be similar to generic brands, but the WT are custom fit. Is that the case? I have never had rubber mats, but I am a bit messy and I think that this is what I would like for Christmas, or at least the front ones. This is for our new car that we are going to pick up TODAY! :hurray: Well, new to us.....it is a 2014.
arnold
Love my Weather techs, they will outlive the vehicle we have them in.
Annie G
Yes, the custom fit of the WT have been spot on in the cars we've had. They fit like a glove. If the knockoffs aren't as well fit it would be a deal breaker for me.
Rebel Yell
Oh gosh, they sound awesome, but my car is only worth about $400.00 with a full tank of gas and a trunk full of groceries so the thought of expensive car mats made me LOL. Annnnnd now I'm imagining attaching those mats to a skateboard and having a better vehicle than I currently drive. I need to get up and have some coffee.

DawnM
Ok, weird. Our new car is tan interior. But the floor and carpet is black. And then the trunk is tan carpet. Would you get the same color as the carpet or just get all tan?
itsheresomewhere
I don't know what Amazon warehouse is. It is on the Amazon site. It is where they send the damaged boxer items and stuff. Deep discounts often on the items. The cargo mat for my SUV and the floor mats were nicely discounted as the box was very damaged but the mats were fine. And as usual since it is Amazon, they allow returns.

Scarlett
I would get black. And yes the custom fit is awesome. I would skip the cargo area though--unless you can easily afford it. Easy to put something down back there if you haul something.
DawnM
I can't find any deals at all for my make/model. I will wait until Cyber Monday but if there aren't any deals by then, I will just order. GRRRR It is $180 or so for the front of the car, front seat and back seat. DH said to at least get that. DawnM
PS: It looks like Husky and maybe Lloyd make custom fit, but the difference between regular rubber and those is the custom fit. People are saying Husky don't last as long and Lloyd aren't a true custom fit, so I guess WT it is.
SparklyUnicorn
Whoa. I had no idea they were so expensive. I got them as a gift.
trulycrabby
It's the custom fit that makes them so wonderful. I would match the wats to the carpets, so if the carpets are dark, get the dark mats

I don't think I have ever seen a car with two very different carpet colors in it.
DawnM
Check EBay. I bought mine there. I have checked ebay, amazon, and googled. No deals.
