We did the UK version last month: it was a lot of fun sitting at a window with my mum, drinking coffee and counting birds.  It was blowing a hoolie and snowing, but there were still birds on the feeder.  In all, over six million birds were spotted.

We have our plans for today, but we'll participate tomorrow. If I understand the instructions correctly, we only "have to" count birds for at least 15 minutes on one day, so we have four days to do this. I might register each daughter separately, and have each girl do her own count on different days.

We love doing this every year. This year ds is not participating much though. He's going to an event with his girlfriend's family today, and they're going out for Valentine's Day tomorrow. A bit sad, but time marches on. And we couldn't have hand picked a better girlfriend. She's a darling.
