Dmmetler
http://www.physicscentral.com/experiment/physicsquest/ Physics quest is a project of the American Physical society, where they send out free science kits for 6th-8th graders to explore a specific set of physics concepts. This includes homeschool families. I've ordered one the last several years and done it with a group of kids at my house. The kits are very comprehensive, and it's rare to have to add more than a paper cup, empty soda bottle, and maybe some water to be able to use them.
