Excelsior! Academy
Netflix is losing their Epix contract and losing big name movies at the end of September. What movies and shows are worth watching that won't be there after September?
kewb
Here is the list of what is leaving: http://www.whats-on-netflix.com/leaving-soon/titles-expiring-on-netflix-in-september-2015/
Word Nerd
The IT Crowd is still available even though the link above said it would be gone as of Sept. 1, so I hope that means they aren't losing it after all.
Saddlemomma
We're getting to the point that Netflix isn't worth the price. We can switch to Hulu for half of what we pay for Netflix with more options. As soon as we finish all the episodes of MASH, we'll probably switch. Renai
I hadn't heard. Most of things on that list I'd never heard of anyway, so I guess I won't miss much.
Tohru
We use Netflix for educational shows and as a reward for school work done or when mom needs a break. That's bad.
Renai
We use Netflix for educational shows and as a reward for school work done or when mom needs a break. That's bad. That's not bad, that's Keeping Your Sanity.
strange_girl
There's nothing on that list that I would want them to keep, so...meh. We don't have cable or satellite (so, no TV channels whatsoever), so for us, Netflix and Hulu are all there is. I'll put up with some crappy movies and tv shows leaving without even complaining.
Butter
Sometimes my kids watch Care Bears or Curious George or Ninjago, but I don't think they'll even notice they are gone. There are still a lot of other choices. The only movie on the list that I've even considered watching recently is If I Stay. I kept watching because I thought for sure it would get better. It didn't. It has to be the most boring and poorly acted movie in recent history. It was just really, really bad.
liber
Canadian or American netflix or both?
redsquirrel
Amazon is also losing Epix. I think the company that owns Epix also owns part of Hulu? and they might be moving over there. They made the decision to end the relationship with the competition. There wasn't anything in that list that I would miss.
PeacefulChaos
Nothing of importance is leaving lol. re: Hulu: I did a free trial of Hulu plus awhile back and couldn't believe there were commercials. Uhhhmmm no. If I'm paying for it, there shouldn't be commercials. If it's free, sure. But not with paid subscriptions. :p
Word Nerd
I always hear people complain about Netflix and keep wondering what they're talking about. There's a lot there I don't care anything about, but there's still plenty there to make it worth $8+ a month.
