Oh, I'm sorry to hear that! A relative of mine had two dachshunds missing for over a week, and they finally found them in an animal burrow. Apparently they had followed a scent down and couldn't get back up. They survived on water dripping from the tree roots underground. The family had searched the area several times and called the dogs over and over, but the dogs didn't bark even when they were right by the hole.
