Just Kate
We are leaving for vacation at Myrtle Beach tomorrow. Since my dh will be away over Father's Day, we plan to take him out for a decent dinner while we are there. The problem is that he loves seafood, but the kids and I do not. I have been trying to search for a restaurant that serves (good) seafood, yet also serves a nice steak. Any suggestions?
Mama Geek
I wish I could help. It has been many years since I was in Myrtle Beach. I actually went to school for a year there and met my dh there. It brings back good memories. I hope you find a good place to eat and enjoy the beach.
Pawz4me
Oh dear. I'm mostly blanking out. We usually fill up on seafood when we're in the area. But off the top of my head, a few restaurants you might check out are The Sea Captain's House, Gulfstream Cafe (just south of MB in Garden City), and Chesapeake House. Those are the non-big-chain restaurants I can think of that have been around a long time, have good reputations and should have varied menus. Jane in NC
Liberty Steak House (Broadway at the Beach) has seafood and beef as well as their own microbrewed beer. You can check out their menu: http://www.libertysteakhouseandbrewery.com/menu/
Annie Elle
Please do not go to Captain George's Seafood Buffet! It was $31 per person and the food was horrible, at least no where worth that price.
chanda7
I had an extremely bad experience at Landry's last year. If you are willing to travel a little, I enjoy going to Ella's at Calabash (just over the NC border) http://www.ellasofcalabash.com/. I haven't actually tried the steak, so I don't know if it is any good. However, it makes our family of seafood lovers/non-seafood lovers happy. Momof3littles
Probably 6 years ago we went to this place http://www.rioz.com/ and it was great at that time. I have no idea if it is still excellent. eta: they have sushi, etc. on the salad bar, but not much in the way of straight up seafood like you may be looking for. Jan in SC
Go to Bovine's in Murrel's Inlet. There are actually three restaurants together and a bar area on the inlet. If it's nice out, try checking out that menu and eating there. Your dc can see boats and sometimes they have a person playing music.
myhandsrfull
Hoskins in North Myrtle Beach. It's a favorite for our family. There are reviews on trip advisor and a few other sites.
