athomeontheprairie
I woke up to 50 mile an hour sustained straight winds. I think we have gusts up to 60 at this point. I love the changing of the seasons, and I am so very ready for winter to be over. But I hate the wind. my house is creaking and the windows rattle. no one can go outside. we are quite honestly have to do school and the other half of our house otherwise we can't hear over the wind. Grrr! I hate the wind. it is my least favorite season ( and it comes twice a year)
TXMomof4
Preach it! The wind makes me crazy. I'm grumpy and mean when it is windy. And I live in El Paso - the only weather we have is wind.
TammyinTN
Oh do I remember the winds when we lived in El Paso and Fort Irwin...they were super loud and powerful. Hang in there!!
Luanne
I'm with you there. It has been particularly windy here in the last year or so. I think Wyoming is blowing down into northern Colorado. It is always windy up there.
Miss Tick
Totally crazy-making, I agree. It always makes me feel pity for those poor early settlers whose houses were so leaky the wind came right through, you couldn't escape it at all. Some did go crazy, apparently. :-P
Χάων
I here you!! The wind is worse today than usual and of course I had to unload a truckload of mulch.
Word Nerd
:iagree: The wind woke me up in the middle of the night, and it's been howling ever since.
Cinder
The thing I hate most about windy days is that the neighborhood trash all seems to end up in my side yard. Grrrrr!
Serenade
I'm a wind hater, too. Just hearing the wind blow around all day puts me on edge. Ironically, I enjoy thunderstorms. But that wind is usually short-lived and not an all-day affair.
Liz CA
I like the sound of the wind whooshing around this old farmhouse. I especially liked it when we had a fireplace and I was sitting there snug as a bug in a rug with a book and a cup of tea while it was howling outside. :) Of course, at some point it has to stop so one can go to work or run errands...
