Catwoman
Thanks!!! It was fun to see what the real house looks like, and to find out that it's still there. :hurray:
HappyLady
I looooove that house! I was really young when that show was on the air, but I remember wanting an apartment like hers and especially after she moved into that other apartment where at night you could see all the city lights. Anyone remember that? I've always wanted that kind of view. :)
Cinder
What a great house! And I loved the MTM show. Pretty sure I watched some of the original airing but I appreciated it more later on, watching the re-runs when I was older. A friend's uncle owned the house that was used in the opening scene of Twister. At least he doesn't have to worry about strangers bothering him at home.
PrincessMommy
very cool. I only watched MTM occasionally and also didn't really appreciate it until I was older. What a beautiful house! I remember listening to a segment on NPR about 20 yrs ago about a guy who had made models of all the insides of tv houses (Brady Bunch, Dick Van Dyke, etc. etc.) This thread reminded me of it. Mothersweets
That was wonderful! I remember watching the show with my family back in the 70s. Thanks for posting. :)
Susan in TN
I've seen it in person - it's a beautiful area of Minneapolis and they really work hard to keep the historic integrity of those homes. And of course there are the lovely lakes all around. I once had dinner with the guy who lives in the Amityville Horror house in New York. DawnM
I had never seen the show until recently, but that house is beautiful!
