JFSinIL
rather, has had a new book out for a few months! http://www.amazon.com/The-Cuckoos-Calling-Robert-Galbraith/dp/0316206849/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1373765455&sr=8-1&keywords=cuckoo%27s+calling just revealed Robert G. is really Rowling. The reviews this book got before she was revealed are good - looks like I can forgiver her The Casual Vacancy and enjoy a detective yarn! Hunter's Moon
This is a review from July 7th: This book is so well written that I suspect that some years down the road we will hear the author's name is a pseudonym of some famous writer. Word Nerd
I haven't forgiven her for The Casual Vacancy yet.
Whereneverever
Thanks for the heads up!
JennW in SoCal
How very cool! I never did read Casual Vacancy, but this sounds right up my alley.
kentuckymom
I only made it a short way into the The Casual Vacancy before I gave up, but I'll have to check this one out. I love mysteries!
skeeterbug
I also made it partway through A Casual Vacancy before giving up. I'm not sure I can get the bad taste out of my mouth long enough to try this one.
mumto2
This one sounds good. I just checked my libraries to request it. Not one seems to have it! I suspect it will become a bit more popular now!
Cinder
My library doesn't even have this book. I wonder if they'll get it now that the news is out that it's really JKR.
Jyniffrec
I wonder if the price went up on the used books when the new came out or if they were already that high. I'm pleased for her, though, and for the rest of us. Hopefully we all are in for a lifetime of great books from her.
jenn-
Sounds like someone's book wasn't flying off the shelf like they had hoped and suddenly this news was "leaked". It does sound like an interesting read.
Negin
Jen, I'm looking at your avatar and your hair is gorgeous. :) Anyway, I'm really looking forward to reading this. I had no interest whatsoever in reading The Casual Vacancy.
Negin
I wish that was my hair! I agree it's gorgeous! :001_wub: I just love that picture. My hair is cut similarly and it's dyed violet black, but it's not nearly as luscious as hers. I didn't read Casual Vacancy either. Oh my goodness, I love, love, love violet black even more. And your cut must be amazing. I need to find a picture, grow my hair out a bit and have a similar cut. Not to hijack this thread, but do please share if you have any tips on styling, etc. I'm quite hopeless. All I can do is wash and go - and now and then I use my CHI straightening iron. Seasider
Well, guess the news is out. I just requested it from the library. I am 109th in queue.
