warneral
The kids have ipad mini and their cheap rubber tipped stylus' from Hong Kong are difficult writing. Wondering if there is something better? Looks like fine tip ones on Amazon are $20+ and could scratch the screen.
Farrar
I've had several brands but I've only the rubber tip ones have worked really. The more expensive rubber tipped ones do work a little better though.

ChrisB
We have the Bamboo solo stylus. It has worked well for us, and it doesn't scratch the screen.
zoobie
I just ordered the TruGlide stylus. I'll let you know how it is Wednesday night. :) We have a pack of rubber tipped ones, and they work okay. The ones we have are sort of poofy and stretch or something.
Farrar
Ooh, the price on the Bamboo is lower than it used to be. When I was first buying styluses, it was like $30 or something really stupid.
happypamama
One thing I've noticed is that some of the cheapie ones are better than others, and even within the same batch, we've had some that work better than others. We've had these; the latest batch seems to be better than the others, grippy but not too grippy: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005AOKW8Q/ref=oh_details_o01_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 We also just got these; we haven't used them much yet, but they seem really nice. They're also smaller, and the tip is smaller too. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B008JC82BA/ref=oh_details_o02_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=

Elfknitter.#
I have thought about getting a stylus for our iPad work. Never having used one, do the tips die out quickly?
Farrar
I have thought about getting a stylus for our iPad work. Never having used one, do the tips die out quickly? The tips from the cheapie sets we've bought online have had some that died within a few months - tips broke or wore out. But I have a couple of more expensive ones - like the Targus, which you can buy at Staples or Target or anywhere - that are doing fine. Plink
I really (really really really) want an Adonit Jot Pro. It would be glorious to have a truly fine point stylus that is designed not to scratch. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005GSS4ZY/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=B005GSS4ZY&linkCode=as2&tag=libhilhou-

I think it's just an adjustment to get used to writing on the iPad. It took me awhile, but now I'm pretty comfortable with it. You have to zoom in and out a lot. Farrar
*bubble burst* Hey, silver lining. You don't need to spend $20+ on a stylus now. :D
zoobie
The TruGlide is much better than the rubber tipped ones (Friendly Swede bundle on amazon) we have. Hopefully it will hold up!
dsmith
I picked up some really cheap ones at the checkout at Staples. They are short and a bit thinner than others I have. They worked great until I bought an Otterbox case.
