Jen500
Any suggestions? I'm looking for a tv show with episodes and I haven't watched much for years. I don't like silly comedy--something clever. Though I did think Arrested Development was funny.
MeaganS
Parks and recreation. Start at season 2.
bethben
I like Psych. There is usually an 80s reference at some point. It's about a guy who says he's psychic but is just observant. Beth
LittleIzumi
I like Warehouse 13 and Freaks and Geeks, although those are geeky clever comedy.
AnnaM
We liked Jericho but it only lasted 3 seasons so there are cliff hangers that never get finished.:glare:
Jean in Newcastle
Psych or Monk. Both are detective shows but comedies too.
Jen500
Thanks ladies! I will see if any of them appeal to dh. Has anyone watched Louie?
MelAR05
I watched the first episode the other day and thought it was hilarious. Started the second episode and was uncomfortable with the content. I will probably keep watching though because I like Louie CK.
AnnaM
I am about to start Lie to Me. Looks like it is going to be good.
LittleIzumi
I am about to start Lie to Me. Looks like it is going to be good. That show is good, and crazy. But definitely not a comedy, and it was cancelled right in the middle so a lot of stuff is unresolved at the end. It's a great watch, though. Mommy Grommy
I like Psych. There is usually an 80s reference at some point. It's about a guy who says he's psychic but is just observant. Beth :iagree: I was going to suggest Psych too. It can be a little silly, but it's clever at the same time. And there are five seasons to keep you entertained if you get hooked. NicAnn
Yeah, I liked Life. The other shows mentioned are great too- Psych, Freaks and Geeks, Warehouse 13. Better Off Ted, The Office, Studio 60, Samantha Who (surprisingly).
LaxMom
I love the IT Crowd.
sparrow
I love the IT Crowd. :iagree: There is also Peep Show, which is quite possibly the most squirm-inducing and uncomfortable show I've ever watched . It's not silly funny. It's uncomfortable funny, which I think is in the same vein as Arrested Development. Truly cringe-worthy, yet funny. Erica in OR
I agree with a PP—really liked Better Off Ted. Although in later seasons, I had to make sure the kids weren't around when I watched it, with some of the inappropriate bits.
