A home for their hearts
My dd4 loves to do crafts however I do not have the time to pull crafts together. I need a book and or kit that is easy to use and doesn't require a lot of materials. Any suggestions? thanks!
Lucy
I love this book: http://www.amazon.com/Arts-Crafts-From-To-PreK-K/dp/1562347985/ref=sr_1_12?ie=UTF8&qid=1347031130&sr=8-12&keywords=a+to+z+craft Very easy crafts with stuff I already have! MeaganS
Maybe Carol's Afordable Curriculum? I believe it includes everything you need, including all the supplies.
Holly
I've used Artpacs with that age. The first one is for grade 1, but if she can handle scissors and glue, she'd be fine with it. It is mostly cutting and pasting at that level though, so it's not super-creative.
duckens
This is a second vote for Carol's Affordable Curriculum. Another version of this is Shirley's Crafts.
craftymama
I like the Usborne Preschool craft books (Dinosaur Fun, Christmas Fun, etc.) because they require very little materials and have step by step instructions with pictures. Teneo
I love the Williamson Little Hand series for ideas. The Alphabet Art book Tjllc mentioned is part of it. There's also Paper plate crafts, Little Hands Big Fun Craft Book, Little Hands Create, Art Starts, Sing, Play, Create, Around the Woeld with Art and Activities and more. It's easy for me to flip through and find what I want. My favorites though are Mudworks and Preschool Art It's the Process Not the Product. (But yeah, not terribly creative/artistic.) What I'm doing with my 4 & 6yo: pinned lots of fun crafts from Pinterest and we're just working our way through them. :p Planning is all done, just need to do them. MissKNG
Most of the simple crafts here http://www.dltk-kids.com/ need crayons, scissors and construction paper. And TP rolls! And I'm pretty sure Walmart has craft kits that have like 100 crafts in one package for around $10.

RootAnn
My dd#3 loves crafts. We did Shirley's Prepackaged Crafts for a whole year. DS#1 is now (slowly) working through the three boxes I held back from dd at the tail end of last school year. He wasn't ready for them much in the spring, but is doing better with the coloring & cutting now. Love 'em. You supply scissors, glue, and coloring materials. She supplies everything else. Note: Lots of coloring & Christian in orientation.
alisoncooks
Could you link what you've pinned? Sure! :) Here's my "Just for Fun" folder. We're just picking 1-2 a week. I also have an art segment with other ideas (that aren't curric.-based, more like fun-art)...
