My daughter was baptized yesterday. :)

We had a beautiful day with my daughter yesterday. :) She was baptized into The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and received the blessing of the Holy Ghost to guide her throughout her life. She had a grin on her face from morning to night, even has she was being dunked into the waters of baptism by her father.

I am so proud of my little lady and her choice to follow the Savior.

She looked like a little princess in her white dress and just glowed throughout her baptism program (she had some special friends of her sing her favorite Children's hymn about Baptism, and her maternal Grandpa and paternal Grandma each spoke to her about Baptism (by water) and the Holy Ghost (baptism by Fire). Her white dress was made from my wedding dress. The dress she wore as an infant for her blessing had also been made from my dress. She loved looking like a little mini bride, all pure and white. :)

Here is a picture of in the jumpsuit she wore for the actual baptism, and in her white Baptism dress afterwards.

Awww, what a sweetheart she is!! I love going to baptisms! My dh teaches the "7 turning 8" class this year, so I've had the chance to go to several. I get teary eyed at every single one. The children are just so pure and innocent and so excited to be taking such a big step.

Tell your dd congratulations on her wonderful choice and that she looks very beautiful in her very special baptism dress!! :)

Awesome! She looks so happy! I am the Primary Music Chorister (for the past seven years!) and I love watching them grow up and learn. Right now we have five sunbeams and of the four older ones, 3 are will be moving up within the next year...I attended the baptism of all of them so far that I've taught and then attended the temple as a chaperone with the others who came of age and wanted to go :D. I love the youth. (I also am the Camp Director-3 years now- so I get to see the girls each year and watch them progress).

:grouphug: How sweet is that?! Great news, thank you for sharing. . . and you're one of those really neat moms who can make dresses out of your wedding dress.

Oh heavens no, *I* didn't make it! I hired that out. I couldn't sew a straight seam to save my life. :tongue_smilie:
