Remudamom
Before I was even up this morning dd was in my room gathering up the clothes I had dumped on the floor the night before. Now she's outside shouting "Which horses are you going to ride this morning????" Before I can pull my boots on she'll have them caught and ready. I really do love that she's so motivated, but she makes me feel pretty lazy! I get tired just watching her. How come it doesn't rub off on the rest of us?:001_huh:

Remudamom
Can you loan her out? I don't think so, I've forgotten how to do everything. When she goes to college I'm going to have a nervous breakdown.
Dinsfamily
If you can't loan her out, maybe she could give lessons. I agree, though, if I end up with a kid like that, I will probably get worse.
sdWTMer
My baby is like that! He can run many, many circles around dh and I! He keeps us young.
JFSinIL
Do you rent her out? I could trade you a lazy girl in exchange. ;)
Tammyla
She sounds wonderful. My teen was like that and can still be, but has now taken on more attitude esp around the first of the month :glare:. genie
I'm not convinced that a child like that is genetically possible coming from me. How'd you do it? Did you eat a lot of Wheaties while you were pregnant?
Remudamom
She looks exactly like me but with strawberry hair, I guess she's really mine. She sure didn't get it from me. We tease her that she's the golden child, and she does so much for her siblings they don't even resent her nickname. She's almost 16. She was the only long term nursed baby here. I wonder............?
Once
You are lucky. If your taking a poll my longest nursed kid is the least likely to help around.
Gretchen in NJ
How wonderfully sweet. I could only dream that one day my dds would do the same for me. Ah...:001_smile:

Now that I think about it. First thing every morning, dd10 gets up and checks on her pets.
Elisabeth in IL
I definitely do NOT have one of those children. My boys are full of energy and are ready to get going but their energy is directed more in the trouble direction rather than the helpful direction. Rhonda in TX
obedient, calm teenager. My sister and BIL throw up their hands and say, "We take no credit. He raised himself!"

Guest Virginia Dawn
I got exactly 1 out of 5. He's leaving for college in the Fall. :-( Now I must say that he did not start out altruistically motivated. I had a chore list posted with money that could be earned for each chore done without a parent asking. He earned the maximum allowed each week, when he was younger. I've never had to pick up after him. I can't say that about any of the others.
